Luckily a few of us were a bit behind in our emails and didn't see your
cancellation notice. The formal MMTC workout did indeed take place on Saturday
1/17/9?at Bancroft. A good breeze complemented the 5 degree temps, but I've seen
worse conditions. Tim Densmore, Glen Morrison, and I showed up. Glen and I did 8
laps (I forgot that the workout was for 10), while chatting about how to get our
children to bankroll our retirements. Our time was a blistering 38:10. By
contrast, Tim ran at least 10 laps.

Note: Tim will claim that he lapped us, maybe more than once. But we?took a
vote. By a 2/3 majority, Glen and I decided that we had whupped Tim easily.
Better luck next year,?Tim. Keep training. We think that you show?some promise.

Note from scheduler/timer:
Boy oh boy, did I get flack for canceling the Sat workout.? We are accused of
getting soft.? That is the last time we will cancel a workout except for
lightning.? We will meet per schedule even if we get a northern Katrina.? If it
a 101 degrees, we will meet but dramatically shorten the workout.? If it is a
killer wind chill index we may have everyone start as soon as possible, then
record the times.
