1 - ref the xl file, I couldn't find it to open, just a box

2 - ref your keel, it sounds the same as mine. I think its in the
right place, moving it forward should increase weather helm. There
should be a rubber block at the back of the keel to act as a shock
absorber, but it's missing on my boat, there is only a wood block.

3 - I wondered about bolting on another 50 or 100 lbs extension to
the bottom of the keel to improve stability, especially single
handed, but it's a fair bit of work. The extra weight would be the
same section as the keel, made from scrap lead set in resin using a
mould taken from the keel.

4 - \i'm trying to set up / maintain a GEM register for UK/Europe,
Would you mind giving details of:
boat name
boat number
owner and contact details
where sailed
There must be a lot of GEMs around - somewhere...
