Report from Empire Beach, 7/1/06.

Forecast for Saturday July 1, 10-20 South West 3-5 foot waves.

1st Session 11:00-11:30, 5.8 and 109 liter board. Quickly got blown of the water as The Big Lake lite up with 5.0 conditions.

 

2nd Session 12:00-2:30, 5.0 and 85 liter, good steady 4.5-5.0 conditions with 4-8 footers forming quickly. Rain drops started to fall at 2:30 and the wind let up. Peak SW winds estmated at 35 mph.

 

3rd Session 3:00-5:00, back on 5.8 and 109 liter board for final Session. Which ended when a heavy t'storm came ashore.

Over all not a bad day for a 10-20 forecast.

7/2/06, Forecast for Sunday July 2, Near shore 15-25, SW with 3-5 foot waves, never materialize. Rest of Holiday weekend with no windsurfing wind.
