5/30/06 -Getting better

 

Better for today. We sailed 7.0 and 120-130. It is forcast to improve each day going forward. We had lots of rain today which shut down the wind. It rained last night most of the night, so hopefully it will clear. Today, Tuesday has been dissapointing, but we made up for it with another fun night. We had dinner at a German restraunt on the road and had great food. We have walked by the place many times, until we heard a recommendation for it recently. Awsome. Chris had Schnitzel, John had Brats, and Chuck and I had spagetti bolognaise. Afterwards, we broke tradition by passing LAX bar and going to Ohno. The girls had had been there last night dancing until late in the morning. We thought we better check it out. We met some funny characters, including the Aussie drunk who wouldn't stop talking to us about politics, and how important he is. He is a local pain. We finally got rid of him. Earlier, we met "Elvis Prestley" yes, he says that is his name, and that he is a professional pick-up artist. He can teach us to win over any woman we want. Wow. That is some claim. The guy was a freak show. Lots of fun, and we are hoping for more wind!
