5/29/06 - Waiting game again

 

Well, another unusual light wind day. Some of the crew went out on 8 meters and formula boards to get in some sailing. It was a good day for extra rest as the wind are to begin blowing tuesday through the week. We have had many good laughs with old friends from last years trip who are here again. Jeff and Barb from NJ, Michele the local massage therapist, Jenz the owner, pam and nacy from florida and the recent arrivals yesterday. We spent some time lounging by the infinity pool and had some chip and salsa. For dinner we went on a organized group tour to the Blue Moon. It was a reservation only place about a half hour into the mountains with a view over parts of the country. The food was indian, and we all sat on mats and ate with our hands using banana leaves as plates. It was very fun and memoriable. John had the swiss girls attention after dinner and somehow was getting most of the after dinner brandy. when we arrived back in town from cramming into two vans, we we werent quite done yet, so the michigan crew, along with a few others, found our way to LAX bar again (our usual last stop each night) for a sampling of Daquiry pitchers to calm the heat. It was a great eavening with good friends!
