Hey everybody,
I hope everyone had a good winter regardless of
the lack of snow. Well the season is upon us, the winds have been blowing
and the lakes are unseasonable warm. GLK lessons have already begun and our
forth year of kite camps will be starting up in June. This is going to be an
exciting year. With the growth of the sport I have seen alot of new faces at
our local spots and their enthusiasm is contagious. I remember when I first
started kiteboarding showing up on the beach with butterflies in my stomach
and the adrenalin pumping, I couldn't wait to get on the water. That is what
I see from the new riders and it brings back those memories. I also love
meeting and talking to these newbies, they are so juiced up and rearing to
go, that what the sport is all about! This is going to be a great year!!

Well I know this is last minute but GLK and Detroit kiteboarding are putting
on the first annual kiter cross this weekend at Harsens Island. I have
attached all the info and hope everyone can make it or at least come out and
hang with us. There will be an after party on Sunday at Terrys Terrace. We
will have food and drink specials and a video of the event plus some new
kiteboarding videos to watch. I would like to thank Ian Mason for hooking up
the after party.

GLK will be holding a couple more events with dates soon to be announced.
