The deeper water is turning the DNR into a good direct northerly LSC launch if
your stuck with no time for a 120 mile RT drive to Lex.
Larry, Walt and I launched at the DNR. We were powered up on 6.5, 9.0 (of
course) and I was on a 7.5. This was the 2nd successful time we launched there
in two weeks. It's an easy reach out to clean air taking about a minute from
either the windward Clinton river side or the leeward south side. Getting back
in was easier on the leeward side. Larry blasted around for 4 hours in the
shallow bay on the windward side and Walt and I did the out and back into Anchor
Bay.
When you launch @ DNR: N to NNW do the river side for a perfect reach right out
the mouth of the river into the bay. NNE do the other side for an easy tack out
to clean air. If it's blowing NE - go to Milner!
