Sunday 2 AM models show Ike affecting our weather by 2 PM today. But the precise wind direction or any wind at all at that time is not an easy call. There will be a windless dead zone in the center of the storm during today that may sit on us. On the east side of that zone will be a S wind, probably starting in Erie first. On the west side of that zone will be a N wind strongest in northern Lake Michigan. As it progresses we will get strong W wind by 11 PM tonight and a N wind will continue for the first half of Monday.

            Watch and wait, although western Erie may start first with a S blow.
