Subject: Check this out, From HCMAFrom HCMA,Metro Beach is now off limits to Kite Boarders. According to HCMA officials, Selfridge Air National Guard Officials have declared that high flying kiters are a hinder to low flying military aircraft. A sign has been posted at the Metro Beach day sail launch area indicating that Federal Agents will arrest anyone flying a kite in the restricted area. It is also within the federal law to impound kite equipment, and vehicles. Very stiff penalties and prison time may also be imposed. This area has always been a restricted no-fly zone, aircraft of any type are not allowed to fly within this no-fly zone.
