SPICING UP KITING SCHOOL ONCE AGAIN!

You think you have what it takes to hang with the pros? If you do not feel like you can, don't worry, we at South Padre Island Kiteboarding can help.
Once again Mark Doyle is teaching with us, so if you consider yourself an intermediate to advance rider and you have hit a wall and you do not think you are progressing, then come and sign up for lessons with Mark Doyle.
You can learn to rip like a pro on the waves or you can impress the chiquitas on the beach by throwing sick tricks, and all because you made that step to come to South Padre Island Kiteboarding and learn from the best!

If you would like to take a class from Mark or from any other qualified instuctor in our shop, call ahead and make a reservation to learn to kiteboard. Our instructors are familiar with all the conditions on the island and they are all prepared to instruct you beach side and/or on the bayside, all depending on your wishes and abilities.

Tips

IF COMING IN THE MIDDLE OF MARCH SPRING BREAK
Spring Break on SPI is really only crazy for one week..Texas Week. This year that week is March 10-17.
You may call us and get more information on where to stay on the island! We live here all year round and we know the best places to stay, and this is a priority during Spring Break. It is good to party with the kids for awhile, but you do not want to bring the party home right?
We at South Padre Island Kiteboarding know that you come here to kite and maybe have some fun, but kiting comes first, so give us a call so we can set you up with a good place to stay!!! Normally if you stay on the North Side of the island it will be quieter than towards the other end.
We work with our friends on the island to get you the best prices and the best locations on the island. We do not want you to stay in a ghetto place and not get your restful nights sleep. We can direct you to places like Dancer Condo Rentals. To have the best price do not forget to tell them that you heard of them through us!

BE LEGAL AND HELP KEEP THIS AREA KITER FRIENDLY!
The land is running out! We are running out of places to go kite for many reasons. Here in South Padre Island that is not the case. We (windsurfers and kitesurfers) came together to form an association where we can fight for our rights! We manage to rent a beach north of town in which wind lovers are the only ones allowed! So please support the cause and purchase your pass ($15 month/$25 yearly) or we may lose this great place as well!
Passes are sold in the shop but only cash is accepted since it belongs to the Windsurf Association. Thanks for the support!
Another location where we manage to protect for our use as of right now is Holly Beach and the permits and stickers are being made as we speak, so please keep posted for more information on cost and regulations of this beach.
And talking about Holly Beach, we been asked by Texas Parks and Wildlife to inform the users of Holly Beach to be aware of the islands around Holly and not to step on or disturb the islands or birds found there. It is not only illegal to disturb this birds but we will also could lose our right to kite in this amazing place. So please stop by the shop to get more information on the simple procedures we have to take to avoid any problems with the nesting bird colonies.
