Results for the 2002 BIKESPORT Michigan State Time Trial Championships have been

Three different sets of results have been posted; results by Michigan State Time
Trial Championship Category, results by Festina/Rudy Project Michigan Challenge
Category, and overall results.
State Championship Medals and prizes will be sent via U.S. Mail in the next
10-14 days to those people who didn't receive them on Saturday.
I would like to thank everyone for showing up and making last Saturday a great
day. The warm weather and low wind made for a very fast course and several
course records were broken. Here are some highlights;
Nico Toutenhoofd (Excel Sports) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio broke the open 4 lap
course record by over 2 minutes with a time of 50:59.19.
Tom Petzold of Birmingham set a new 4 lap course record for Michigan riders with
a time of 51:17.43 and is the 2002 Overall Michigan State Time Trial Champion.
Tom time boke the previous 4 lap course record for Michigan riders by over 2½
minutes.
Jody Koch (Trek-Volkswagen Midwest) of Ann Arbor broke the 4 lap course record
for women with a time of 58:14.41, over 3½ minutes faster then the previous
course record.
Jon Cross (Wheels in Motion) of Holland set a new 2 lap course record for Junior
Men with time of 28:46.08, over 1½ minutes faster then the previous Junior
record.
Sarah Andrie (West Michigan Coast Riders) of North Muskegon broke her own 2 lap
course record for Junior Women by 58 seconds with a time of 34:21.10.
Janet LaFleur-Hunker (Senior Women Cat 4), Larry Wu (Junior Men 10-12), Aaron
Tubergen (Junior Men 13-14), Todd Elenz (Junior Men 15-16), Terence Martin (Open
Masters Men 50-54), David Ryskamp (Masters Men 55-59), and National 70+
Criterium Champion Antoon Huyghe (Masters Men 65+) all broke there own course
records for their categories or age groups.
Jer Walker (Senior Men Cat 3), Shawn Tyrrell (Senior Men Cat 4), Jacqueline
Roberge (Junior Women 10-12), Trevor Thomas (Espoir Men), Nick Durrie (Masters
Men 40-44), Ed Ried (Michigan Masters Men 50-54), and the tandem team of Patrick
Aimone and Anne Marie Phillips (Tandem Mixed) all set new course records in
their categories or age groups.

Trial, and Triathlon Shop for all of their help and support.
I would also like to thank all of the officials and staff for the 2002 BIKESPORT
Michigan State Time Trial Championships; Tony Paolella, Russ St. John, Ron St.
