With all of the road racing scheduled for this year and with track racing set to
start at the new Mike Walden Velodrome in June, Michigan is in need of more USCF
officials. If you would like to help out and become a USCF official here are the
details from USCF Regional Coordinator Mike Hanley;
USCF OFFICIALS SEMINAR
7-Apr-02 Ann Arbor, MI
This seminar is for those who wish to become a USCF official, and for category 4
officials who would like to upgrade to category 3. All other USCF officials can
satisfy the annual review requirement as outlined in USCF Bylaw 9.2.3.1, page
158. Study guides are available for both the category 4 (entry level) test and
the category 3 upgrade test that I will mail in advance of the class. There is
no charge for the seminar or study guides.
Anyone 18 or over may become a race official, and, although helpful, previous
cycling or racing experience is not required. Please pass the word to friends,
family and non-racing club members. We are in need of several new officials in
each state to keep our growing schedule running smoothly.
Please call or email for further details, reservations, study guides, and pass
the word to anyone who may be interested.
