From: "Quick Release" <paul@...>;
USAC has announced that the Expert Coaching Clinic originally
scheduled for Minneapolis on March 15 and 16, has been cancelled due
to lack of registration. It has been rescheduled to take place in Ann
Arbor on April 5 and 6, IF we can get 10 paid registrations. We
currently have 6 people who have paid, and need 4 more to make it
work.
Can you please pass the word to your members, associates, friends,
etc, who are already Club Coaches, and/or anyone who has shown an
interest in pursuing their next level certification. The only
requirement for entry in this clinic is that you have at least
submitted your test for Club Coach to Colorado before attending. (The
Club Coach test is an open book test, and there is plenty of time to
complete this before the Expert Clinic.)
Cost for the clinic, which will be presented by one of USAC's staff
coaches, is $265.00, which covers all materials, testing, and, I
believe, license. Many of the AAVC members have offered their homes
for sleeping accommodations, so overall costs can be kept down. The
course is all day Saturday, half day Sunday, and we will let everyone
know the exact location well in advance of April 5th.
We have a Spring Training Series on Sunday morning and while we are
not sure if we'll have the time to ride but be sure to have everyone
bring their bike.
If you know someone that wants to be an expert coach and they have
yet to get the Club Coach certification, they would have the time to
do so between now and then if they get moving.
