No need for someone to get so personal because I have my opinions
which differ from some of yours. You sound like my now deceased fatter
who would attack others for the pleasure and died without a friend.

The fact is I am original Mets fan from the start, and Hunt had a
quality which set him apart from everyday players. The other players
got off on his energy and guts. They played harder becuase Hunt would
take one for the team very often and play so hard.

The fact that Tommy Agee had a single great season a few years later
oin 1969 for the Mets after the Mets traded Hunt to get Davis then
traded David to get Ageee...well that's what happends in baseball. The
fact also is that Ken Boswelll who played 2nd base for the 1969 team
is an accidnet and his contribution to baseball was short lived
compared to Hunt.

I'd take Hunt 100 times over because he turn the oither players on and
his teammates wknew that Hunt got things started. Sort of a Wally
Backman but tougher the way I saw it.
