I like the idea of trying to get Zito. Yeah the A's are winning, but they'd be
better off trading Zito now than losing him over the winter and getting nothing
in return. I wouldn't mind having Abreu's bat in the lineup, but living near
Philly I see enough of him playing to know he is like a porcelain doll in the
field- he will not go all-out on defense- if you get him, be aware of that.
Also, I'm glad the Mets resigned Alfonzo. Give him a few weeks in Norfolk and
if he still has something in the tank, he'd be a great addition to the Mets. So
far the platoon at 2nd is working out great, but Fonzie is able to play third or
second- that would give the team some flexibility to rest Wright a game here and
there down the home stretch.

he pitched ok against the mets on friday although he gave up alot of hits i
think zito would be great but its not going to happen the a's r winning i heard
garcia or vazquez from the white sox's but i dont want either the only one i
want from the sox is buehrle id give up mildege for him anyday i also heard
smoltz as a possiblity thats it for pitchers but as for right field the mets
have shown intrest bobby abreu if he comes cheap id take that just so i could
trade him to the a's for zito cuz his fielding sucks now for the kicker the 2nd
baseman is going to be fonzy they just signed him to a minor league contract
that will deepen the mets bench by putting valinten back on it and give willy a
good lefty bat for that game winning pinch hit in the playoffs what does
everyone else think

approaching Oakland and try and trade for barry zito who is a FA at the end of
the year. Imagine a rotation of pedro/zito/glavine/trachsel for the playoffs???
