Alright, we've had a great first half. What do we need? I think we
need a 5th starter. Pedro, Tom and Steve are doing a great job but a
4th starter is needed.
Just throwing this out there, Maddaux, he may be available. Now hear
me out. He's not gotten the run support when he pitches and with this
team I think he'll get plenty of that. A trade for him would come
cheap as well and well he's an expierenced Playoff pitcher. Not sure
about the details in his contract or when it ends but something to
think about. At least for the remainder of this year. Pflier , or
however his name is spelt needs some work still but could be ready for
next year. Hernandez is good 5th starter as well ,with playoff
expierence, and a proven winner in the playoffs.
Other than that I think we're golden, position players are set, 2B
although a platoon spot is just fine, ( kinda like the 86 Mets,
Backman and Tufel) Woodward and Valentine doing a great job there.
