Backman couldnt hold Randloph's jock strap--Randolph was an all-star 2nd
baseman. Back man had a couple good years. There really is no comparison.

Willie Randolph would be an awful choice.

He is never managed and is not known as a tough guy.

Wally Backman should be offered the job ASAP.
