---Lindsay Nelson was my favorite of the three. I remember his
patented "Out by a country mile", "Theres double barrel action in
the Met bullpen, Taylor from the right side, Koonce from the left
side, warming up". When 2 runners advanced simultaneously he would
say "All hands are safe!!!!" I got a real kick out of those wild
jackets he wore also.
Of course there's Murphy's "High hard one", "It may go..... gone!!!!
a home run" and his happy re-caps. I always remember the old
Kiner's Korners of the old days. I recall the one when they
clinched the '69 East division where he had about 10 Mets on his
show. Tug McGraw was smoking something, don't really no what,
wearing a motorcycle helmet on, LOL.
