For a 25-year-old with 94 career saves, a 2.88 ERA and 271 strikeouts
in 269 innings, Street sure does seem to be taken lightly. Even in his
worst year, he had a .229 average against and fanned 69 in 70 innings.
He has been shaky in the ninth inning and he is starting to get
expensive, but there's little reason to think he's going to stop being
an effective reliever anytime soon. We're guessing he'll do pretty well
as a closer for whatever team he ends up with.

Didn't Houston Street lose his job as closer for the A's?? Why on
earth would the Mets be looking at him over Hoffman?
