Since I lived in the Philly area for 18 years I had the pleasure to go to quite
a few games at Citizens bank Park. Great ballpark. Never had trouble their even
in my Mets garb. As far as Eagles fans, I never once went to an Eagles Giants
game there simply because of the eagles hooligans fan base. Watched it from the
safety of home.
Now to closers. Yes, K-rod is the best on the market but the price would almost
be in the Santana realm and I think we need help at more than just the closer
spot. Hoffman would be far cheaper and my gut says he would accept a one year
deal with a legitimate contender plus a club option for a 2nd year to sign with
the Mets. I vote for hearing hell's bells at the new park. Use the money saved
by not going for K-rod to shore up the middle relief and the OF.
