the mets had to do what they had to do, minaya should have fired willie
2 weeks before he actually did and minaya should be the next to go he
is a crappy gm the mets need a young guy and a better scouting
department its time for them to clean house starting with Pedro,
delgado, hernandez, schoeneweis, castro, wagner, heilman, burgos,
vargas, easley, castillo, perez and most of all alou!  the mets
need to build from the draft not from free agency or trades  the
only long term players the mets should have are wright, reyes, maine,
beltran,  santana and maybe church if he keeps playing well and
the only reason to keep beltran is his contract. the yankees sucks and
since they started building their teams from free agency and trades
they have not won a series. if we had the rays, A's, or marlins
scouting staff we would have a great team because we have the money to
keep our top players where they dont have the cash to pay them for the
long term.

way willie was fired was disgraceful. manuel might be the right guy for
that group of players this season. at least he can communicate with the
majority of the team without an interpreter. as for the long-road
ahead, it wont matter who may be the manager or even gm for that
matter-the wilpons remain among pro-sports worse owners. only the
dolans are worse. its tacky to fire willie the way they did-minaya
shoule've been fired first! unless manuel get these guys into the
play-offs, he's gone come september.there really isnt any strong
candidates for manager out there. i would like to see bobby v back in
new york or even mattingly, but there will be better organisations out
there for them to choose from. maybe the the brooklyn cyclones can take
the mets place in the nl east for the rest of this season.
