Re: [Mets Fanz United] Ichiro

I agree that Hunter would be worth trading for but unlikely, that would leave
the Twins with no right handed power to protect Morneau, I disagree that Delgado
is declining, slumping yes, he has been hitting alot better at late, he's had
solid power numbers over the last three seasons a combined 103 homers and 338
rbi's. The Met's will have to look for a team with alot of depth in the
outfield, a team would be likely to trade if they know they got a guy that can
step in the everyday lineup. I agree Gomez needs more seasoning, but he does
look like a good future outfielder for the Mets.

Chavez went down..Are there any other outfielders out there??

Gomez still doesn't look ready. Mets need a power hitter to help out this
lineup. Tori Hunter makes a lot of sence...

Thats a hell of an idea and Ichiro might want to sign because Minaya's that
good. I like Gomez and he might develop into a winner but Green and Alou are
aged and the Mets need to win now. Imagine the first 5 spots of the batting
order:
1. Reyes
2. Ichiro
3. Beltran
4. Delgado
5. Wright

Should the Mets go after Ichiro next season? We've seen Gomez and we

know he's got some time still to spend in AAA so why not sign a guy

like Ichiro next year?

Ichiro and Hunter would not be good fits in my opinion. 1. We have Beltran for CF so that is a position we don't need to cover, eliminating Hunter. 2. We have...
