Re: [Mets Fanz United] Ichiro

Ichiro would be interesting, I would'nt mind seeing one more bat with some
power, with the inconsistancy of our three, four, five guys this year. Gomez
needs more seasoning, they do predict him and this Fernando Martinez who is
playing down in Binghamton to be flanking Beltran in the outfield in a few
seasons. Now I just watched a guy who hustles and plays all out Endy Chavez go
down with a hammy pull, the Mets might be looking for outfield help soon. Alou I
guess is expected back soon, Green may take a little longer, none of the other
guys impress much Newhan, Johnson etc., when do the Mets take another look at
Milledge or is he still on the dl or make some kind of trade to either add depth
or another bat?

might develop into a winner but Green and Alou are aged and the Mets need to win
now. Imagine the first 5 spots of the batting order:
1. Reyes
2. Ichiro
3. Beltran
4. Delgado
5. Wright

Subject: [Mets Fanz United] Ichiro

Should the Mets go after Ichiro next season? We've seen Gomez and we

know he's got some time still to spend in AAA so why not sign a guy

like Ichiro next year?

Ichiro and Hunter would not be good fits in my opinion. 1. We have Beltran for CF so that is a position we don't need to cover, eliminating Hunter. 2. We have...
