Mets have had a ridiculous number of bad calls this year go against them.
Just a few corrections. It was Delgado who had the walk off home run. The
play you mentioned was not
Scored a pass ball but a Wild Pitch. If anything Lo Duca was crossed up he
called for the pitch in a different location, and the ball came way inside.
I would say that was on Smith.
Lo Duca is a very passionate player, but I find little fault on his part on
the play..
I think the call effected him striking out though.
I watch the game again early this morning on ESPN and they picked up
something about Delgado. Delgado had had surgery on his wrists in the off
season. No Met announce has brought that to our attention previoulsy.
As many of you know Kieth Hernandez has mentioned about trusting your hands
several times this season.. Well this may have been a bigger part of the
slumping Delgado problem considering the surgery.
Again the difference between the Mets and the Yankees. Mets have Heart...
and a bullpen.
Mets have really captured New York City.

Subject: [Mets Fanz United] Bad calls...
In the last Atlanta series I noticed, I believe, four instances where
Umpires had made bad
calls; twice in the series with the Marlins. Again, today, as Paul Loduca's
checked swing was
called for a strike. Loduca, visibly upset, may have carried that emotion
and train of thought
into committing a pass ball which advanced Omar Vizquel to third. Omar
eventually scored
on an attempted 2-3-2 double play. Loduca argued profusely his tag of
Vizquel was an out
and again failed at that. Luckily, Beltran hit the walk off home run in the
twelfth for the win.
Bad calls affect the player's mental stablity causing errors in play. I am
certainly not fond of
instant replay, but how do you feel on instant replay in baseball?
