Greetings Fellow MWT Shooters ,

Looking  forward to another exciting match at the Harvard Sportsmens club on Saturday 6/20/09  Registration will begin at 9:15 am ,Safety briefing at 9:45 am and first shots at 10:00 am.

I am looking for volunteers to help  with the match .I will need help with setup about 8 AM and / or work the match as a SO or scorekeeper .I am planning squading everyone and having SO move with each squad. Please e-mail me of list at mnhogan4@... with your availability.

I also  have openings for a couple of more COF if anyone would like to submit one.

Hi Mark,

Congrats on the SSP-EX promotion...  well deserved!
I am planning on coming...  Richie and our 2 NB Fire buddies
Tom and Travis, will probably be shooting if they are not
working.  If Richie can make it I'm sure he'll be happy to
SO a squad w/me w/Tom & Travis.  We probably wont get
there until about 0930.

Let me know if u can use me/us.

Yesterday night, at Wal-Mart in Hudson, I've seen ammo on the shelves there.

9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP.

Those who are interested, might want to check it out before they are sold.

The Summer  Solstice Match is this Saturday 6/20 2009 .Registration will begin at 9:15 AM ,Saftey Briefing at 9:45 AM and First Shots at approximately 10:00AM

There will be 6 stages ( 1indoor low-light and 5 outdoor). Bring eye / ear protection , a cover garment, a flashlight, at least 3 loading devices and 150 rounds.

For those of you who voluntered to help set up or want  to we will start at 8 AM.

The Harvard Sportsmans Kitchen Committee has offered to prepare lunch again for us. If it is raining lunch will be inside and we will stop shooting to eat inside.

Hope to see you all there for another exciting match!

Mark,

 

Thanks for putting together a smooth match. The courses were fun and challenging. The squad I was in (6) never had to wait long for the next course to free up and no one seemed to wait for us very long. Nice.

 

MWT has really become a well oiled machine.

Wow. Can't believe I was the top SSP-Marksman shooter even with hitting 2 non-threats.  What score do I have to shoot in order to move up to SSP-Sharpshooter?

Hi Steve,

Good job on the match...  To move up the match would have to be a sanctioned match, like the New England Regionals we are hosting this August, and if you come in first place and beat 10 shooters you get bumped up.  Also, if you come in 2nd place and beat 20, 3rd place and beat 30 etc you would also get bumped up.

In this case because this was a club match (not sanctioned) nobody would be eligible to be promoted.  In your case there were only 7 SSP-MM so even if it were a sanctioned match there would not have been enough in your division/classification to automatically get promoted.  Now, in this club match your score was better than 1 SSP-SS so you would get to count this towards your promotion if this were a sanctioned match... 

So... not only look at the people in your division/classification, did you beat shooters in a higher classification (in the same division?)  If so, you get to count them towards promotion.

Sanctioned matches have to meet certain requirements and have to be approved by the Area Coordinator to get that status.  So keep up the good work and kick some butt at the New England Regional!
