Greetings Fellow MWT Shooters!

The Courses of Fire are set.  We have one indoor stage and five outdoor stages. 
The minimum round count is 91.  One of the 6 stages is a 15-round Limited
Vickers course and the other 5 stages are Standard Vickers with a minimum round
count of 76.  Please plan to bring enough ammo for the match.

Folks,

Please come help prepare for the busy Summer'09 season.
We will clean out and organize the trailer, build storage area around it, and
waterproof targets for a rainy day at the range.
Bring work gloves and, if possible, shovel, post digger, power drill.  If you
have any questions please contact Mark H. or me directly.

Time pemitting, we might have some informal fun shooting event around 3 pm.

Greeting Fellow MWT Shooters:

The Season Kick-Off Match will be on Saturday, 4/4/2009 with registration in the
clubhouse starting at approximately 9:15 AM, Safety Briefing in the clubhouse at
9:45 AM and First Shots at approximately 10:00 AM.

I am planning on 6 stages (1 indoor low-light and 5 outdoor).  The round count
for the stages is still being worked on but if you bring about 150 rounds you
should have plenty.  As usual, bring eye/ear protection, a cover garment, a
flashlight, and at least 3 loading devices for your firearm.

I am looking for volunteers who can help setup the match, starting at about 8:00
AM, and/or work the match as a SO or Scorekeeper.  We will squad everyone and
the SOs will move with the squad throughout the match.  PLEASE E-MAIL ME
OFF-LIST AT jtcatterall@... WITH YOUR AVAILABILITY.

The Harvard Sportsmens Club Kitchen Committee has kindly offered to prepare
lunch for us for a small fee.  We will stop the match when the food is ready and
everyone will eat together.

Come out and join us for the start of another shooting season!

The April IDPA Match has being rescheduled and will take place on 4-th.
Kinda "warm-up" for the April 11 Classifier at WPRC.

Harvard Sportsmen's Club to talk about 2009 MetroWest Tactical upcoming events,

cancelled for tomorrow and moved to the next week.
The new date is 3/9 7pm, followed by the next scheduled practice on

The results of the match are now posted at www.matchreg.com/sw and
we had a good showing in the awards section for our Metrowest Tactical
shooters.

   Dave Solimini came in 1st place in the CDP Sharpshooter division
beating 17 other sharpshooters and 2 experts.  He was promoted to CDP
Expert.

   Dave Ritchie came in 3rd place in the SSP Sharpshooter division
beating 27 other sharpshooters, 20 experts and 2 masters.  He was
promoted to SSP Expert.

   Michael Joffe took home an award for 7th place SSP Sharpshooter and
Richie Netinho took home an award for 4th place ESP Marksman.

   Congrats guys, well done!

Hello All,

We are fortunate to have an active, friendly group of people who
organize and officiate IDPA events.  We welcome all motivated
individuals to join in and the group has been indeed growing steadily.

One way to improve your level of participation is to become a
certified SO.  It really helps your game a lot too, trust me!

Several people have asked when the next SO class will take place.
Well here is your chance!

Our friends at WPRC (Boylson, MA) have organized an SO class and
there are 2 slots available for those who are interested (and quick
to act).

Here is the detaied info:

Sunday March 15th 7:45am – 4:30pm at WPRC

Active IDPA membership required. Bring your card or know your number.

Bring gear as if shooting a match -  100 rounds.

Cost is $25.
