Hi Steve,
Good job on the match... To move up the match would have to be a sanctioned match, like the New England Regionals we are hosting this August, and if you come in first place and beat 10 shooters you get bumped up. Also, if you come in 2nd place and beat 20, 3rd place and beat 30 etc you would also get bumped up.
In this case because this was a club match (not sanctioned) nobody would be eligible to be promoted. In your case there were only 7 SSP-MM so even if it were a sanctioned match there would not have been enough in your division/classification to automatically get promoted. Now, in this club match your score was better than 1 SSP-SS so you would get to count this towards your promotion if this were a sanctioned match...
So... not only look at the people in your division/classification, did you
beat shooters in a higher classification (in the same division?) If so, you get to count them towards promotion.
Sanctioned matches have to meet certain requirements and have to be approved by the Area Coordinator to get that status. So keep up the good work and kick some butt at the New England Regional!
