Well, he was in Dyersburg for LAW last weekend. He's been wrestling
for DCW in TN and MS, as well. I think he's wrestled over in
Osceola, AR, too. Not totally sure, though. He's definitely got "the
look" and if he can keep getting better in the ring, he'll be
fantastic.

I am very tempted to answer this question. But I will not at this
time. Would not want to ruin it for some of the kids that might be reading
this. Youth is so nice. But I wonder if any of them ever wonder why
Kamala never speaks on TV or at a match.

National Wrestling Superstars had Big Vito, Kamala, and Chris Candido on their
4/24 show in Asbury Park, NJ. Vito headlined beating Hasheem "Chemical" Ali.
They shot an angle afterward to set up Vito vs. Candido in a lumberjack match
for 7/28 in Long Branch, NJ. Candido lost to Damian Adams after Johnny Candido
turned on him, setting up the battle of Candidos in a cage for 5/22 in
Keansburg, NJ. Kamala lost to "Power Child" Eric Justice. Sort of. Actually,
Justice pinned Kamala's manager Dapper Johnny Falco and was named winner. Also
on the show, they had a "battle of the Gol-Gas", with two guys doing the ripoff
of the long-forgotten WWF Oddities gimmick. Babyface Gol-Ga won, so the heel
Gol-Ga had to unmask

Jan and I were really looking forward to this night. I finally got to
return a picture to Kevin. We had a great time. Here is the action:
After the National Anthem, and a short prayer to start he night, Chris
Rocker got in the ring. Besides other words, he claimed that he back was
hurting from carrying Blaze all this time. OH, Poor guy. With his chicken
legs, I wonder who carried whom. They were a good tag team, sorry to see
them go their separate ways. Rocker has been in the business for a long
time now. I remember him back in the KAW days. Blaze is a raising
star. It should be interesting to watch and see who goes up and who does
not.
Blaylock the Blazer vs Reno Diamond. I have watched these two warriors for
the past three years. They have had some good battles and tonight was the
same. At the start of the match Reno was in total control but you can
never count out Blaylock. Blaylock had gone to the top turnbuckle and Reno
was able to catch him. Reno tossed him and Blaylock crash
landed. Blaylock was able to get in a Inverted Atomic Drop. Reno came
back and got control again. Reno hit a Swantoon Bomb. That was enough, the
referee made the three count.
Seth Knight vs The Golden Boy (Greg Anthony). Seth got off to a fast start
in this match with a series of Arm Drags. It didn't take long for Greg to
put a stop to that and show Seth Knight his skill at basic wrestling. TGB
took him down, rode him and then did his own Deep Arm Drag. Seth bailed
out of the ring to slow things down. Golden Boy went for a Drop Kick but
Seth was able to hold on to the ropes and TGB hit the mat hard. That was
an opening and Seth took it. He went to work on Greg's back. Little by
little Golden Boy started to come back and dominate the match. After a long
series of moves, Greg went to the top turnbuckle and was able to hit a big
Flying Elbow. I thought that might be enough for him to get the three
count. At this point in this match Chris Rocker came in with a metal
folding chair and started to beat on TGB. Danny B Good and Force ran in
and made the save. I, honestly don't know if the referee just threw out
this match of if he DQ'd Seth and gave the win to TGB.
Alan Steel vs PKO Pokerface. WHOW, this was an interesting
match. Pokerface is probably one of the best technical wrestlers in this
area and Alan Steel is one of the strongest and meanest heels in this
area. Pokerface got an early advantage. Alan Steel bailed out to slow
things down and ended up sitting in one of the fan's seats. OH NO!!! He
looked down and found her poster. He was about to rip it up, like he did
last time but Pokerface was able to put a stop to that. The poster was
safe for another week. Alan used a Shoulder Breaker. I had not seen that
move in a while. He went to work on the arm and shoulder. This never did
become a technical wrestling match. Alan Steel was not going to play that
game. He also knew that Pokerface had a solid wrestling background. So
what did he do? Alan pulled a chain out of his knee pad. Around his big
fist it went. One punch and Pokerface was down. The referee made the
three count and Alan Steel added another win to his record.
Carnage Antwane vs "Life Guard" Dustin Starr. This was all Dustin from the
start the start of this match. Dustin was just too good and too
fast. Dustin went to the top turnbuckle. Carnage saw him and pushed the
referee who then hit the ropes, knocking Dustin down. Carnage went to work
with fists, and chokes. Dustin was hurt. CA hit a Elbow Drop. He then
went to the second turnbuckle and drove his large fist into Dustin's
head. Little by little Dustin Starr started to regain control. About this
time, Alan Steel came out to ring side. Dustin and Alan got into a shouting
match, Carnage took advantage of this and rolled up Dustin from
behind. He grabbed a large handful of tights. The referee made the three
count. Alan Steel should get half credit for his win.
Kilo & Citizen Kane w/Auburn Thunder vs "Family of Pain"Sgt. O'Reily &
Mickey Ray (JPW Tag Team Champs). Mickey Ray started this match and he
was just too much man for Citizen Kane. After a tag the Sergeant came in
and he was also just too much man for Kane. Tag - Kilo came in and he was
greeted with an Arm Drag and ended up on this back. It became clear that
this wrestling was not working, so Kilo went to eye gouging. The very
beautiful, nice and sweet little Auburn, who always gets my attention, also
got the referee's attention. This allowed Kilo and Kane to double team and
stomp, choke and punch without the benefit or any tags. But, I can
understand how the referee got distracted. They had the Sergeant isolated
in their half of the ring. Finally Sgt. O'Reily started to come back but
he went to the wrong corner for a tag. OUCH - all he got has another fist
to the head. Finally Mickey Ray was able to make a tag. Auburn Thunder was
up on the ring apron and she was checking the contents of her
briefcase. It must have slipped out of her hand and it hit Mickey Ray in
the head. Don't know what was in the briefcase but Mickey Ray went down
like he had been shot. Kane made the cover and the referee made the three
count. NEW CHAMPS!!
Talk about mad. Sergeant and Mickey were out raged. They demanded that
the promoter come out. They explained what happened and they were
robbed. I mean it was highway ROBBERY!!!! . Sexy Sam Diamond, who knew
all of the dirty tricks in the book did listen to them. "Family of Pain"
demanded a return match. They pointed out that it was in their
contract. Sexy Sam agreed and ordered a return match at the next
show. That will be May 7th, and I know that we will be there. Now, on a
personal note. I hope JPW posts a picture of Kilo on their web site. I
just don't understand how somebody as beautiful as Auburn Thunder can be
with Kilo. Talk about beauty and the beast. Kilo's hair looks like he
stuck his finger in a light socket and then combed it with barb wire.
The next match was billed as Danny B Good vs Austin Lane. The loser had to
kiss the winner's boots. I was looking forward to this match and looking
forward to Austin Lane getting down on his hands and knees and kissing
Danny's boots. There was no way that Danny was going to lose this one with
all the fans behind him. Well I guess Austin Lane knew he was going to
lose and decided not to show up. Seth Knight came out and demanded a match
for Danny's JPW Championship Belt. Sam Dollar came out. He said that he
would sign the match but it would be a non-title match. Danny B Good said
that the fans came to see a Title Match and he was more then willing to put
the belt on the line. Danny said that Seth Knight had not paid his dues in
this promotion but he was going to give the fans what they same to see. He
told Sam Dollar to sign the match as a Title Match. The belt was on the line.
Seth Knight vs Danny B Good (JPW Champion). To the best of my limited
knowledge this was the first time these had met in the ring. They were
both a little cautious at the start of this match. Seth got a hold and
Danny reversed it. Danny got a hold and Seth revered it. This was a good
wrestling match. I was kicking back and really enjoying this. About that
time Seth took a short cut with a gouge to the eyes. YUCK!. Seth decided
to go to work on the arm and he did his best to stay on it. They ended up
out on the floor. Showing no fear, Danny hit Seth with a Drop Kick out on
the floor. Had he missed, Seth could have got in the ring and the Champ
would probably been counted out. They both returned to the ring. Danny
hit a good looking Back Supflex. The tide was turning and Danny was
shifting into high gear. About this time Cornage Antwane, Alan Steel and
Chris Rocker ran out and started to beat on Danny B. Good. Alan Steel,
with steel chair in hand stood guard on the entry way. Big Force came out
to help Danny and Alan Steel hit him in the head with that chair. Even as
big as Force is, he went down to one knee. He started to get up and Alan
hit him again in the head with that steel chair. Dustin Starr, Sergeant
O'Reily, Mickey Ray were finally able to get out the entrance way. As
soon as the odds were even the heels ran like dogs.
For the past three years, about, I have watched Seth Knight up in
Dyersburg. He has gained weight. He has added tattoos. But he also
continues to improve. Kevin and other sitting around me agreed that he is
the most improved wrestler of 2004. This was the best match that I have
seen him work. He has started to take short cuts, which I don't like but
he is going to be wearing one of those belts soon if he keeps working as
hard as he been working.
I am going to make a separate email very soon, I am going to finally have
my very own Pro Wrestling Reports web site. The URL is going to be:
http://www.prowrestlingreports.com. Scott is helping me get it
going. Watch for the Grand Opening announcement. I am doing this so you
don't need to join any email list. Also, some web sites, are not posting
all of my reports. Just so it is clear, if I do a report on a show, the
promoter has my complete permission to use all or any parts of my reports
in any manner they want. Also, nobody, to the best of my knowledge is
keeping all of my reports on a web site. I hope to put all 150 plus of my
report on my web site. Maybe, I am wrong but I think it is interesting to
go back 18 months and read the reports over again. I hope that all the web
masters will give me a link. Let me make this clear. I am not a
webmaster. I don't have the money to pay one. Scott is working for free to
help me. Finally, I am doing this for all the wrestlers so they can point
their friends to the web site. I hope it works. I have a lot of fun doing
the reports. I love to tease the heels. The wrestlers are the ones that
risk injury every time they get in the ring to entertain fans like me. I
hope that I can just give them back a little. I do the reports for the
wrestlers and if the fans like it also, that's good. From the emails and
fans at the matches, that take the time to say, Howdy, I seem to have found
the right balance. THANKS guys and girls.
Hope to see you down the road at a live wrestling event

First, let me kill a rumor. LAW is NOT shutting down. Rob Harlem AKA
SirMo, is alive and healthy. LAW will be back at the Dyersburg
Entertainment Center next Saturday night. Yes, I had heard the rumor but I
did not post on it. For those that were there, here is a medical
update. Seth Knight got 10 staples in his head. That was real blood and
he got a nasty four inch gash in his head. Stan Lee is fine also and
should be back in action next week. Now, this is a rumor but I heard that
Gator does take a bath the first of each month so that swamp smell might be
gone next Saturday night. Picture Perfect are having the Belts cleaned at
this time. If you did not stay, Derrick King did end up in the pool after
his match. There was a standing room only crowd at the show but I sure did
miss some of the old timers that did not make it. Especially the ones from
Kennet Mo, and Oscela Ar. I also missed my buddy Extreme Icon. There is a
slim chance that I might not make it next Saturday but that should be the
last night that I miss until we go to St. Louis later this year. Here is
the action as I saw it.
The night started with the first surprise. Derrick King and Kevin
Christopher joined John Steel in the ring. I think that Kevin Christopher
is the only guy that I know that could wear red pants and red shoes and
look good in them. They explained that tonight would be a taping to end up
on their first Dyersburg Spring Break DVD. They had audio problems and had
to do this intro two times. I took time to look around and the crowd was
standing room only. They had already got extra chairs out from the back
and there was still people standing for the entire show. I was happy to
see a couple of workers in the crowd. Since I did not ask for the
permission to post their names, keeping with my rules, I will not but one
of them played an part in the show, so I will tell you that sitting behind
me was Serpent, one half of the "East Coast Bad Boys". He had been fried
by Randy Rocket but that did not stop him from buying a ticket and being in
the crowd. It also seems that he was a very proud new father. Kevin
Christopher joined John Steel and "Just Joe" at the announcers table for
most of this show. Next Dawn and a new lady sang our National
Anthem. They did a beautiful job again. Before they could leave the ring
the Sexy Assassins #7 & #69 ran to the ring and attempted to
capture/kidnap Dawn. She gave one of them a mighty Side Kick and made her
escape. The Sexy Assassins danced a little and then ran to the back. If
this was a match then Dawn was the clear winner. I am sorry but I don't
know the name of the lady who joined her in the duet. I will try and get
it next time if she is there.
Drive-By vs Criminyle vs Seth Cyrus. This was a three way dance in the
"Beyond Boundaries" area. After a couple of minutes the lights went
off. When they came back on Flex was standing in the ring. He asked the
same question that I have been asking, "What is this Beyond Boundaries
stuff?" He went on to tell the crowd that he was the one that built this
building. He told a short history of the building. With little trouble he
put all three of the wrestlers in this match down and almost out. He
pressed slammed Seth Cyrus on top of Criminyle. The referee made the three
count and this one was over.
Mr. Showtime vs Scott Starr. This was my first look at Scott Starr up
close and personal. Mr. Showtime has been around this area for a long
time. He has held numerous belts in this area. I have checked out Scoot
Starr's web site. Good looking web site but web sites don't wrestle. Mr.
Showtime, sometimes known as "HBO" started this match with an Open Hand
Slap to the face. It didn't take Scott long to return the slap. Mr.
Showtime was able to give Scott the Hot Shot. Show followed it up with a
Swinging Neck Breaker. Scott Starr was in trouble. Showing that he still
had the spring, Mr Showtime next hit Scott with a major Drop Kick. Mr
Showtime then went to the turnbuckle and wait for a second. When Scott got
up, he got hit with a Missile Drop Kick directly in the head. I thought
for sure that this match was over at this point, Scott Starr proved me
wrong and he kicked out of the pin as the referee's hand was coming down
for the three count. The tide started to turn. Scott was able to hit Mr.
Showtime with a Spinning Heel kick. He followed it up with a Standing
Moonsault. The referee made the three count.
Big Red & Marcus O'Neil vs Stan Lee & A.. J. Bradley. AJ and Marcus
started this match. Bradley did five Arm Drags in a row. I think he could
have tossed Marcus around all night long. He tagged in Stan Lee who come
in and did a Split Let Moonsault. Marcus was able to make the tag. Big
Red came in and he dared AJ and Stan to knock him off his feet. The first
couple of times Big Red stood his ground in the center of the ring and they
both ended up sitting on their rears. The third time they came flying off
the ropes and Big Red went down. I was surprised at how well AJ Bradley
and Stan Lee worked as a team during this entire match. I would like to
manage Big Red. Feed him nothing but hot peppers and make him as mean as
possible. Hell, even put one of those spiked dog collars on him and turn
him lose. Pay him extra if his opponent has to be carried from the
ring. Might as well as pay him extra if he loses his first ten matches by
DQ. Taking a page out of Rock & Roll Express, AJ and Stan hit Big Red
with a Double Drop Kick. Stan hit Marcus with a Giant Frog Splash. While
Stan was flying thru the air, AJ had Big Red covered and the referee made
the three count. After this match they had to carry Stan Lee to the
back. It was feared that he had a neck injury. As reported, he recovered
in the back.
Alan Steel & Eric Hayes vs Mike Dial & Ricky Hayes (The Dazzlers). Eric
started this match against his father, Ricky Hayes. I guess that Eric had
been talking with Mr. Showtime. He opened this match with a nasty Open
Hand Slap to the face. In a flash, Dad Slapped son back. Soon Ricky made
the tag and Mr. Dial came in. Showing that they had been a tag team for a
while, the Dazzlers executed a nice Double Hip Toss and put young Eric
down. Eric was able to make the tag and Alan Steel come in the ring. Talk
about a surprise, I was shocked when he came out with Eric. Had I known
that Alan was going to be on the card, I would have worn my Alan Steel
T-Shirt or at least had a poster. Just in case anybody does not know, I am
the world biggest Alan Steel Mark and damm proud of it. After he had total
control, Alan tagged the young Eric back in. Had Eric been using his
brains instead of his tempter, he would have taken and seat and watched a
Master at work. Nope young Eric charged head first back into the battle.
When Eric was in the ring the experience of the Dazzlers was clear. In the
end of this, Alan was outside the ring fighting with Mike Dial while Eric
and Ricky Hayes were in the ring. They both collided and Ricky ended up
falling on the prone Eric. The referee made the three count and the
Dazzlers won this match. Alan got in the ring and was surprised that
during his brief fight out on the floor that Eric had lost the match for
them. This one goes in the record book and my report as a lost for Alan
Steel. Not good, even if was a tag match. Alan was disgusted and walked
off. Eric got the house mike and called him back to the ring. After Alan
got back in the ring young and dumb Eric Hayes, pushed Alan Steel and gave
him a "what far". Well, you just don't push Alan Steel. In a flash Alan
showed Eric how it felt to be trapped in Twisted Steel. Alan then left the
ring and started towards the heel dressing room The fans were not
happy. Then Alan, paying attention to the fans, started to point. When he
pointed at the heel's dressing room they yelled "NO". When he pointed to
the face's dressing room they fans cheered. He walked down and went in the
Face's dressing room. I bet that surprised a few of the guys in the
back. Alan is not known as a face in many arenas. The Dazzlers came out
to check on Eric. Ricky is still his father. From behind, Galin Ray and
another wrestler came out and attacked Ricky and Mike from behind. Eric
joined in the attack. Talk about mad, the Dazzlers were more then just
upset. There was some relationship between Ricky and the other young man
who came out with Galin Ray. The Dazzlers challenged all three young men
to a match next week. The three of them against the two Dazzlers. I think
the match was accepted.
There was a long intermission at this time. A fan got to push a "pie in
the face" of a wrestler. They then auctioned off dates (lunch) with the
various wrestlers. I was fully prepared to pay up to $1.00 for a date with
Alan Steel as long as he promised to bring his beautiful wife and his
father on the date. It was fun but I am not going to report the action so
as not to embarrass some of the wrestlers. One of the big major wrestling
stars high bid was only $3.00, I am not going to report his name. My only
question is how are these fans going to be able to contact the wrestler
that they won the date with so they can have this date. Trust me, if I
spent $100.00 for a date with them, I should would want that date. I have
a standing offer for one of the L.A.W wrestlers for a Pizza dinner at Pizza
Hut in Millington TN, any time he wants it on the first or third Friday
night. I sure am not going to post his name either but he knows who I am
talking about. I am also willing to buy him a ticket to a wrestling show. :-)
Dustin Starr vs Seth Knight. It was not that long ago that Dustin Starr, a
member of Beale Street Posse was booed out of the building and Seth Knight
was the one of the top fan favorites. What a reversal during the past
months. The Life Guards are so over while Seth Knight is climbing the
ladder to top heel in this area. I think the last Tattoo he got damaged
the few working brain cells he had left. OK, on to the match. Seth was
able to get in his Sour Face Silencer. Dustin got in his Drop Kick, that
just about took Seth head off. This match was going back and forth. Each
wrestler had their bright side in this match. The referee was distracted
and from out of no where, J. D. Rage got up the steps and was able to hit
Seth Knight in the head with a Guitar. Now, I have seen my share of Guitar
shots. The Honky Tonk Man for example. But this Guitar did not break into
dust. This was one solid Guitar and I think even after it hit Seth in the
head, it would still be playable. Seth's head got split open and the blood
started to flow. This one ended with Seth winning but he had pulled
Dustin's Trunks to the point that had he pulled more, they would have come
off. Scott Starr came out. He explained to the referee what had
happened. He also pointed out the chain that Seth had dropped. Mr.
Showtime came out and put his two cents into it. In the end the referee
DQ's Seth for the chain. I would enjoy seeing a rematch between these two.
Picture Perfect (Christian Jacobs & Chris O'Neil) vs Dark Church (Joey "the
saint" Luciano and Gator McCallister (LAW Tag Team Champions) w/Rev. Paul
Wild. There were four ball bats on poles in each corner of the ring. IF
you got the bat down off the pole, it was legal in this match. This was a
Tornado Tag Match, which meant that all four wrestlers were in the ring at
the same time. There was so much action that I could not keep track of all
of it. In addition the Rev. Paul Wild was running around outside the ring.
This was a wild match. The first three bats were removed from the poles but
they never got into play. That Gator is about as low as an alligator's
belly. He would do anything to win. Low blows, eye gouge, there is not a
under handed move that Gator will not do. Have no fear "The Saint" is also
about as low as you can get. Picture Perfect had the fans behind them. Joey
Luciano got the last bat off the pole. But as soon as he got down Girl
Candy hit him with a Spear. Christian got the bat, and hit Joey in the head
with it. He then tossed the bat to Chris. Chris attempted to hit a home
run and he got Gator right between the eyes. It was a simple task then to
cover both of them. The referee made the double three count. NEW
CHAMPS! Picture Perfect won back their belts. Little did I know at this
time that the third member of Picture Perfect was in the back. That was a
shock also! Rev. Paul Wild got in the ring and it seemed it attempted to
recruit them into his Dark Church. They were having none of it and they hit
him in the head and left him laying with other two. I would like to point
out that when Rev. Paul was not at ring side with Joey and Gator that they
were able to hold on to the tag belts. Reverend Paul Wild returns to ring
side, they ended up losing the belts. I wonder if Mr Luciano and Mr
McCallister will be able to add two plus two and figure out why they lost
the belts. Sniff sniff - I sure hope that rumor is true :-) - small side
note: every time I see the nick Gator it reminds me of Steve Kern's last
days in WWF. Steve remains one of my favorites.
The next match was scheduled to be The Golden Boy (Greg Anthony) vs "Spot
Light" Chris Sanders. TGB came to the ring and then Flex and SURPRISE
SURPRISE Tim Grind came to the ring. I am always surprised that Tim Grind
is not in a straight jacket with an attendant near by. I mean he has
received one too many chair shots to the head. I will say this as clear as
I can. I think that a match between Tim Grind and Alan Steel, "Iron Man
Match", for 60 minutes would be a main event at any show in this
area. Yes, it would be the main event at any Mid-South Coliseum show and
they would bring down the house.
They were headed to that match when things happened. I still want to see
that match, I would even travel to Nashville to see that match. You can add
St. Louis or New Orleans to that list. Back to the night. Tim Grind pointed
out that he left the building because of wrestlers like TGB. Tim Grind
thought that he was way above most of the old time workers at the Dyersburg
Entertainment Center. Alan Steel was in the back. I was hoping he heard
this BS. Sure a lot of the big names left MACW and went with LAW. That is
business but Alan was the one that hung with MACW and kept the building
open. Yes, MACW went out of business and now LAW ran and owned the
building. Without guys like TGB there would not have been a building for
them to come back to. OH, you don't want to get me started on this
subject. Sorry, putting soap box away. Some time ago I published my top 20
list and Tim Grind was up there near the top. He got my vote for best
story teller. But he does not walk on top of water. Greg Anthony accepted
the challenge.
The Golden Boy (Greg Anthony) vs Tim Grind. Tim did his one wrestling
move, the Shoulder Block. He did have the size on TGB but pound for pound,
move for move TGB can go with any of them. This was no exception. It didn't
take long for Greg to apply his Golden Guillotine move. This one normally
ends the match. The referee was ready to make the three count when Flex
pulled him out of the ring by his ankles. At this point the referee ordered
Flex to the back. Flex protested but the referee stood firm and Flex went
to the dressing room. Ok, I was wrong, Tim Grind demonstrated that he did
know a couple of move wrestling moves. I thought all he knew were fists,
kicks and stomps. Tim hit TGB with a hard Spine Buster. This is his new
finisher. Golden Boy was able to kick out before the three count. Tim
followed up with a Scoop Slam. He then went to the top turnbuckle. Tim
flew thru the air and was going to land a nasty Elbow Drop. At the last
second Anthony rolled out of the path and Mr. Grind crashed landed on the
mat. TGB rolled him up and the referee made the three count. Talk about
mad, Mr Grind was very unhappy and shocked that he had lost to "Fan
Favorite" The Golden Boy. Great win for TGB.
Motley Cruz w/Tasha Samone vs "East Coast Bad Boy" Spiro. This was a
ladder, table, thumb tacks match. Motley cam to the ring with his Barb Wire
Wrapped baseball bat. The referee attempted to get it out of the ring but
this was a No DQ match. Anything goes and I guess Motley could bring the
Barb Wire to the ring if he wanted. I sure was not going to get up and
argue and try to take it away. Especially with that witch Tasha around the
ring. Come to think of it, I think Motley and Tasha must use that Barb Wire
to comb their hair. It didn't take long for Motley to use that Bat on Spiro
head and bust him open. With blood running down his face and his brother
Serpent leading the cheers, Spiro was able to get the bat and use it on
Motley. Motley was then cut open. Leave it to that evil Tasha. She gave
Motley one of her high heel spike shoes. He used it as a weapon. IF you
like Hard Core, this was the match for you. Motley set up two chairs in the
middle of the ring. He was going to Power Slam Spiro into or thru the
chairs. Spiro was able to reverse it and Motley ended up hitting the
chairs. Tasha Samone got up on the apron and attempted to interfere in the
match. One more SURPRISE, Hollywood Little ran out and grabbed Tasha's
ankles. He pulled, she fell and her poor face hit the ring
apron. Hollywood was able to get her over by the table. He slammed her
head first into the table. She went down on the concrete floor. Hollywood
climbed up on the table and was going to jump on her when Motley saw what
was going on. He hit Hollywood from behind and laid him out on the table.
About this time the Thumb Tacks were out of the bag and on the mat. Spiro
went to the top turnbuckle and flew. He was attempting a Cross Body but
Motley caught him and slammed him on the tacks. The fight went out on the
floor. At this point, I lost a good view of the action. I thought for
sure that they were both going to end up in the pool. But that did not
happen. Spiro was able to put the big man down and get the three count on
the floor. At this point Spiro had won the match. But, no match with Motley
ends with a simple pin, unless it is a twenty count and he can't get
up. Motley put Spiro thru the table. I think that Hollywood was still on
the table at the time. Motley helped Tasha up and they both went to the
dressing room. Security picked up and carried Hollywood to the
back. Serpent come out of the crowd and helped his brother Spiro
up. Serpent then came back and got his new baby and I guess his wife and
they went back to the dressing room with Spiro.
Tony Gunn vs Jason "Superman" Reed. If you watch UPN-30 then you can
understand why Jason has this old man confused. I think that maybe he has
changed his diet and is not eating as many Hot Peppers as he had been
eating. This was a "strap" match. There were connected at wrist with a
long leather strap. To win this match you had to touch all four top ring
turnbuckle pads. Both went for the fast win but it didn't take very long
before each one figured out how to stop their opponent. They also leant
how to use the strap as a weapon and both had welts when this match was
over. At one point in this match Tony Gunn was able to lock on the
"YTO". Jason tapped out but that did not end the match. After keeping the
hold on, Tony guessed that Jason was worn down enough that he released the
hold and went for the turnbuckle pads. But Jason was not down enough and he
was able to stop Tony after only three turnbuckle pads. The referee got in
the way and he got hit. That nasty #$!@# Jason Reed slipped off the strap
and went to the floor. He got one of the metal folding chairs. He then put
it in the ring, slide back into the ring and put the strap back on his
wrist. SURPRISE - SHOCK, Trendsetter ran from the back and hit Jason with
his version of the Super Kick. Jason went down. Finally everybody got up
but none of them had clear heads. The match continued for a few minutes but
Jason had touched three turnbuckles when Tony pulled him back, the strap
appeared to have slipped from his hand and Jason was able to spin around
and touch the fourth turnbuckle and end the match. Tony was as
shocked. He thought for sure that he had broke the cycle. The referee
disagreed. The lights went out, when they came back on, Jamie Jay was in
the ring. Now we know who the "Major Impact Player" was. It didn't take
for but a few seconds for him to put some serious knots on Jason Reed who
was happy to go to the back.
Derrick King vs Randy Rocket. Randy Rocket owned 50% of L.A.W. Derrick
King and Jeff O'Dell owned 50%. The winner of this match got would own
100% of the company when it was over. Now, I feel not many people know
this but I have been a huge fan of Randy Rocket for long time. It goes
back to his days with PPW. I also love Derrick King and that goes back to
PPW days also. I don't really know Jeff O'Dell that well but he sure seems
like a real nice guy. ONLY because of the things that Randy had said about
the fans at the Dyersburg Entertainment Center that I was on my feet
cheering DK on during this match. This one started with both knocking each
other down with solid fists to the head. I was not aware that this was a
boxing match. If you like story lines as well as I do this was two master
telling a story in the ring. Randy Rocket had the size and the
experience. Derrick King as the fans, and speed. He also had youth on his
side. When things got going, Randy demonstrated his skill by going to floor
and slowing things down. He did his best to never allow Derrick to get a
chain going. (OK - this is not a metal chain, this is a series of wrestling
holds. It is called Chain wrestling, and I happen to think it is the best
part of a wrestling match). I thought when Randy hit a Face Buster that the
match was over but DK escaped the three count. Derrick hit the X-Factor and
I thought that Randy was done for, but he also escaped the three count.
Derrick hit his Super Kick, but Randy was able to get a shoulder up before
the three count. That low down, nasty, Jason tried to get involved. DK hit
him with a Super Kick. Randy finally got in his Spine Buster and I knew
that it was all over. Randy was going to kick out all the fans when he was
the new 100% owner. I don't know how but DK was able to get his shoulder
off the mat as the referee's hand was about to hit the mat for the third
time. They had been going at it for about twenty-five minutes at this
point. Randy decided to take a short cut and pulled out a chain. He
started to warp it around his fist when Jeff O'Dell caught his hand and
took the chain. With his attention distracted Randy Rocket failed to see
Derrick King next move. In a flash he was rolled up and the referee made
the three count. Derrick King WON!!!!!!!! The President and CEO of
Lethal Attitude Wrestling got in the ring. Randy Rocket was walking down
the aisle to the dressing room. Derrick King, got on the house
microphone. He said those new magic words, "Randy Rocket, Your Fired!!".
Derrick King took off his wrestling socks and boots. He then jumped into
pool. The fans were having fun. Beach balls were flying around. It was
12:35am and this old man was still going strong. I have seen tons of
matches in this area. I will say that this night was right up there in the
top five matches of this era. No, it did not take the place of Jerry
Lawler vs Curt Henning for the Championship Belt at the Mid-South before
12,500 screaming fans. That was a night to remember. It did not top the
night that Bill Dundee's wife got her hair shaved off. It was as good as
the first LAW show that I attended at the high school in south Memphis and
did not have the big names. There is no way that LAW can keep up with this
card but I sure am going to be there in my seat if the good Lord is
willing. I hope that this shows the management what the fans want.
LAW has a young wrestler that is far beyond his age in the wrestling
business. We had the opportunity one night to talk for a few minutes. In
response to one of my questions, he said, "I listen to the fans and then
give them what they want". WHOW - I wish he had that painted on a large
sign in the dressing room. If every wrestler did the same, I think the
fans would come back. The fans will tell you what they want if you are
smart enough to hear them. I think that the majority of wrestlers today
are deaf. It felt good to be in D'Burg again. I did not get to talk to
very many wrestler this time but there will be other nights. The same
wrestler that hears the fans also told me some outstanding news. He did
not tell me that I could post so I can not. I will when I can and he knows
that I wish him nothing but the best. It will be a real honor someday to
say, that I knew him back when. As long as he keeps his ears open to the
fans, there is no telling how far he can go in this business.
Now, I am going to make a separate announcement but I have finally decided
to put up my own web site. In the near future, many of my reports will be
on the that web site. I am doing this for a lot of reason. Some web sites
pick up some of my reports but now all of them. I email copies to come
wrestlers but not all of them. If you read the boards, you know that a fan
from Georgia came to the last Memphis Wrestling show and was looking
forward to meeting me. I also that I have fans in North Carolina that read
my reports. I also have fans in St. Louis and New Orleans. So that nobody
is left out and nobody has to join some email list to read my reports, they
will be on the web site. Some web sites post one of my reports and then
doesn't update them for a couple of weeks. If you only check that web
site, it looks like I am not posting reports. With the exception of the
two weeks that I was taking care of business, I do reports all the time. I
still have one report due out tomorrow. I promise the promoter that it
will get done. I am also doing this for the wrestlers who are nice enough
to give me a few second of their time. They can point to the web site so
their friends can read the reports. Most of the wrestlers have full time
jobs during the day and they can point them to the web site. At this time,
I don't intend to have pictures, message boards etc. I will only have my
reports on the web site but who knows how it might grow. Scotty is helping
me get it up and running. Watch for the big announcement.
It is 12:41am and if there are some grammar errors or typos left, so be it
- I am hitting the send button and putting this one to bed.
Hope to see you down the road at a Indy event in this area

United Wrestling Alliance
"TOTAL CHAOS" RESULTS
www.UWA-NJ.cjb.net
4-16-04
From the Don Miguel Banquet Hall - Newark NJ
Paid Attendance 175, Attendance 200-225.
Crowd Enthusiasm: Friggen wild! One of the loudest shows to date!
Referees: Sean Hansen, Don Felipe
Special Referees: Joe Rules, "Bobcat" Cyndi Lynch
Show started off with Low Life Louie (The Hardcore Champion), and the Nation of
Immigration (Luscious Lily, Mike Mayhem and Black Angel) coming out and Louie
bitching about having to do a 4 way for his belt, vs. a NOI member (Black Angel)
and Warpath as well as Bandido. He said he was tired of the disrespect, and
wanted Bandido 1 on 1 to settle up loose ends, and called out Bandido, Bandido
and Warpath came out, answered the call, and Bandido asked Warpath if he minded,
Warpath said no, as long as he gets Black Angel to himself, Bandido agreed and
the melee started from there with Bandido being attacked by LL Louie and Mayhem,
and the fight was taken to the back.
1. Warpath d. Black Angel w Luscious Lily.
Bandido came back at the end, and repaid Black Angel for last shows loss, as he
went down to Warpath!
2. The Matrix won The Mambo King's TMPW Battle Royal, in this match also was
DIRTWEED one of Grim Reefer's posse, and DANNY YAMZ of the Elm Street Kidz.
Mambo King danced around the outside all during, and after this match, and Rick
Silver came out afterwards to make him stop, Rick said he was the new owner of
UWA, and he wanted the silliness to stop, as dancing, comedy and goofiness have
NO PLACE in Professional Wrestling. Mambo wouldn't stop dancing, so Rick
challenged him to a match, where if Rick won, Mambo would have to stop dancing
in UWA, and if Mambo beat him, he'd shut up for the night and sit in the back
and be quiet (yeah right!)
But Rick had an ace in his pocket, as he removed Senior Referee Sean Hansen from
duty, and replaced him with his special referee, JOE RULES.
3. "Sterling" Rick Silver d. The Mambo King , Joe Rules Special Referee.
Mambo got screwed over and is now banned from dancing in the UWA , unless he can
find a way to pin Rick Silver.
4. UWA Tag Title Match
Champions- The New Glamour Girls (Ariel and Tara Charisma) vs. The Elm Street
Kidz (Rayza, Psycho) w Penny Dreadful-
This match was stopped by Rick Silver, just as The New Glamour Girls hit a
Double DDT on Psycho and covered for a 3 count, to SUCCESSFULLY defend their
titles, the crowd, and the Glamour Girls wanted to know why the match was
stopped, and Rick told them just as comedy, dancing, silliness, and goofiness
have no place in PRO WRESTLING, WOMEN have no place WRESTLING MEN. , so
therefore, He was STRIPPING Ariel and Tara Charisma. of the UWA Tag Titles.
The ESK were also beside themselves, but Silver told them to be calm, he'd take
care of them and he sent them to the back, promising them they'd be the LAST
team entering the ring in a Tag Team Elimination Gauntlet to determine New UWA
Tag Team Champions, and he was passing a list around in the back to get everyone
and anyone involved in this match. Rick then asked Tara and Ariel to give him
the titles, and boy oh boy, did they, right across his forehead, KOing him! The
Crowd went wild, as The New Glamour Girls were the 1st people to be able to shut
Rick Silver up!
5. UWA Tag Team Elimination Gauntlet for the VACATED Tag Team Titles.
(Teams in order of appearance and elimination)
1. The Phatpack ( Godd and Hodd ) d. Tony Burma & Maison Rage w Crusher Doogan.
2. Kuvatro & Pinky Sanchez d. The Phatpack
3. Kuvatro & Pinky Sanchez d. Renegade Angel & Halloween Jack
4. J-Kronik & Keenan Quinn d. Kuvatro and Pinky Sanchez
5. J-Kronik & Keenan Quinn vs. Dan Barry & Dan Dynasty
Both Teams Fought to a DOUBLE COUNT OUT, and Referee Don Felipe restarted the
match
The Elm Street Kidz then came out, messing with the crowd, getting jeered and
booed, wanting the titles that they said was theirs, but out from the back came
the team of Din Mak and Ken Scampi, w Tara Charisma, Tara sent the boys in the
ring, but Din Mak turned on Scampi during the match allowing
6. . The ESK (Elm Street Kidz) w Penny Dreadful d. Din Mak &. Ken Scampi w Tara
Charisma
The ESK celebrated yet again, and Tara watched as Din Mak assaulted Scampi, she
ran to the back calling for help, and out came DICKIE RODZ to nail Din Mak, and
help his friend Ken Scampi!
Rodz carried/caressed Scampi out of the ring to the back, and the ESK grabbed
the belts one more time, only to have Rick Silver start apologizing to them.
The ESK were confused, and Rick told them he did what he could, but he guessed
the ESK, just the the rest of the people in Newark , just cant COUNT unless it's
drug money, and that there was one more team.. ESK wanted to know who. Rick said
THEM. .and pointed to the back as "The Sickness" by Disturbed blared.
The S.T.D. (The Orphan, Frankie Starz) came out and took the mic, said that the
ESK attacked Foo Foo before the show, and sent him to the hospital, so, in order
to "even up the sides" , they found someone as hardcore, if not more hardcore
than Foo Foo to watch their backs, in fact they found the most Hardcore Ho in
NEW JERSEY, Former WWF Hardcore Champion "Bobcat: Cyndi Lynch!
When Bobcat came out, the crowd went nuts for the hometown former WWF star.
7. The S.T.D. w "Bobcat" Cyndi Lynch d. The E.S.K. w Penny Dreadful,
To become 5 Time UWA Tag Team Champions
This match featured a catfight with Bobcat and Penny, and non stop action ,The
STD went over when Bobcat got on the apron and caught Rayza's attention,
pretending as if she was going to flash him, The STD snuck up behind him, and
delivered the "Lethal Injection of Deadly Infection" (Inverted Sideslam w DDT)
and Orphan covered for the 1, 2, 3 as the crowd went nuts!
5. #1 Heavyweight Contenders 4 Way Dance
Homicide d. Monsta Mac, Crazy Ivan, and Louie The Hand w The Diamond Diva
Homicide becomes the # 1 Contender and face either Balls Mahoney or Chris
Candido.
This match lit up the crowd, as only Homicide, Ivan, Mac and Louie could,
** Note ** Louie is the former reverend Al B.Fair from the LIWF Doghouse and he
was taught by Homicide & Laithon.
Homicide pinned Louie The Hand for the final, and Monsta Mac and Crazy Ivan
wouldn't stop going after each other, Ivan and Monsta Mac look like they may be
headed for a feud here in UWA, and Louie The Hand came off solid, and showed he
can work with guys like Homicide, Ivan and Monsta Mac.
6. UWA Hardcore Title Match
Bandido d. Low Life Louie( c ) to become the new UWA Hardcore Champion
Bandido and Low Life Louie put on a classic hardcore match, Everyone into
Hardcore Wrestling should watch this , and I promise, you wont be disappointed.
It's not that crazy shit where anyone's going to get killed, and to say anything
more would be to spoil your fun when you watch it on tape, Black Angel (NOI
member w Low Life Louie) did interfere, but messed up, Superkicking LLL instead,
allowing Bandido a quick pin, and unwittingly helping him to become the new UWA
Hardcore Champion!
7. UWA Womens Title Match
Alere Little Feather ( c ) d. Luscious Lily -
"Bobcat" Cyndi Lynch as Special Guest Ref.
Alere and Lily had a great match, and the fans were all behind Little Feather,
Lily had words with Special Referee Bobcat all match, and Bobcat seemed
constantly distracted by the fans who were flirting with her, at one point Tammy
Lynn Sytch, who was in attendance started to heckle Bobcat, she was joined by
Chris Candido who basically served as a distraction while Lily almost cheated
her way to a win, Lily DID have Alere down, and Bobcat looked to have almost
blatantly missed a 3 count in Lily's favor, and maybe it was because of the
constant barrage of criticism that Lily was offering Bobcat on how to Ref a
match, Lily got fed up, cornered Bobcat, and forgot about Little Feather, Lily
pushed Bobcat, Bobcat pushed her back, and as she did, Alere rolled up Lily and
Bobcat what seemed to be a quick 1,2,3. ( not that the fans seemed to matter ),
as Alere beat Lily and retained the Womens Strap!
Lily got mad afterwards and Alere had a quick exit, She was hi fiving Bobcat all
the way to the back, Lily, in the ring grabbed the mic and started bitching
about the referee, and said she wanted a rematch and better officiating, The
crowd got on her case and out came. You guessed it, Rick Silver and Joe Rules.
Silver said the rematch was granted, and after consulting with Joe Rules, agreed
that the ref job sucked, he then announced another Special Guest Referee would
be granted for the May 23rd Rematch in Passaic NJ, and that Lily woul get to
PICK that REF but , she had to do it NOW.
Lily looked around, and just as Joe Rules thought it was going to be him, Lily
looked to ringside, and picked. TAMMY LYNN SYTCH!
Tammy agreed after some coaxing, then got on the stick and then said, "Be
careful what you wish for, you may have just gotten it," and She knew she could
be a better ref than Bobcat, and She let Lily, and everyone know how She was
going to do it., and show everyone how it's supposed to be done.. FAIRLY. BY THE
RULES . Lily's jaw dropped open as Tammy exited the ring, and the crowd went
wild.
8. Harry Acropolis d. K.C. Koresh
This match had everyone going! Harry's entrance was classic, and KC played it
up like a pro as well, Tammy Lynn Sytch even tipped Harry a dollar in his
G-String. These two guys worked a great match and should be back in UWA for the
duration, as they worked their asses off and gave a great match.
Next, Ring Announcer El Nene came out and interviewed the Champ (at the time),
Bandido Jr., Junior basically gave props toReefer for the last match they had,
but said he was the champ and would fight anyone, and as he was going to say who
he wanted to fight ,Grim Reefer's music came on, and Grim Reefer came out,
cutting Bandido Jr. off. Reefer insulted Bandido Jr. and challenged him again
right there, Reefer was goin off He was about to accept when Danny Doring's
music came on, and HE came out, cutting off Grim Reefer, Doring stated he didn't
care who liked who and what who was going to do what to who, cause HE wanted in
on this piece of gold,... Bandido Jr. and Grim Reefer agreed, with that the
match was underway!
9. UWA Lightweight Title Three Way Dance
Grim Reefer d. Danny Doring and Bandido Jr ( c ).
*Grim Reefer pinned Bandido Jr. to become the New UWA Lightweight Champ
Bandido Jr is one of the up and coming lightweights in the indy scene today and
he proved that vs Doring and Grim Reefer. Grim Reefer is probably the best,
innovative young lightweight in the indies today and can hold his own vs the top
talent on TV today and even eclipse some of them in my opinion. Danny Doring
showed why he was up and coming in ECW, and he's gotten WAY better and deserves
a look from WWE in my opinion, he gave this match his all, and it showed, the
fans definitely got their monies worth in this 5 star match. Even with the low
ceiling, This match could be a indy match of the year candidate, fans everywhere
should see Bandido Jr. and Grim Reefer, because they're definitely better than
ANY of the lightweight talent they show on TNA, and the match with Danny Doring
reinforced that belief,
The fans were up for this whole match, and the building was rocking as Reefer
pinned Bandido Jr.
Bandido Jr was tombstoned by Reefer, and down, then Doring caught Reefer with
the BareBack, and as Doring showed off for the crowd, he didn't realize that
Reefer's Leg was covering Jr.!
1, 2, 3 and Doring almost caught the ref's count, but too late. Grim Reefer new
UWA Lightweight Champ!
10. Womens Tag Team Title Elimination Match ( Vacant )
The New Glamour Girls ( Ariel and Tara Charisma ) d. Alicia and Cindy Rogers,
and The Double D's - Johnny Diamonds Diva's (Lady Lee and Shannon LaVey) w The
Diamond Diva
This match featured Rick Silver coming down w The Equalizer as his Bodyguard, to
protect him from the evil women! Rick said he was giving the women what they
wanted, as he always does.
So if the Glamour Girls want to hold Tag Gold so bad, they'd have to hold
WOMEN'S Tag Gold! But, they'd have to go through 2 teams, ONE, he Hand Picked-
Cindy Rogers and Alicia.
Cindy Rogers pinned Shannon LaVey quickly, after Lady Lee left Cindy open and
vulnerable, Shannon walked into Cindy's finisher, and The LaVey/Lee team was
gone. Lee beat up on LaVey and tossed her under the ring, but LaVey came out
with a knife and chased Lady Lee & The Diamond Diva to the back!
Then it was Cindy and Alicia vs Ariel and Tara... and they gave one hell of a
match, the fans went wild for the women of the UWA, and these women did not
disappoint!
Tara wound up pinning Alicia, and to see this match, and find out how it went
down, you'll have to BUY the Tape (* Available through the UWA Website soon!)
Count on this, The New Glamour Girls vs. Alicia and Cindy Rogers rematch WILL BE
HAPPENING SOON!
11. New Jersey State Title (Vacant)
Mayhem w Luscious Lily d. Laithon, The Tower of Torture
Mayhem new UWA NJ State Champion
This match was basically a Student vs. Teacher match, and the Student (Mayhem)
found a way to win, cheating on his test vs. his teacher (T.o.T.).
Both men are veterans of the LIWF Doghouse, which has produced stars like Low
Ki, the Christopher Street Connection, Homicide, Low Life Louie, Monsta Mac,
Grim Reefer and more, The Tower of Torture was head trainer of The Doghouse, and
along with Homicide, trained most of those guys, Mayhem's included in that class
of wrestler, and this match was DOGHOUSE Style, hard hitting, with chops that
would make you cringe, and made most of the fans wonder how these guys were
doing what they do!
A great mix of power & technical moves were showcased here, and Laithon (a.k.a.
Tower of Torture/Flesheater Mabutu) is probably one of the best big men in the
indys today who hasn't been seen anywhere. Mayhem is one of the better guys on
the circuit too, and can go move for move with guys like Grim Reefer, and T.o.T.
and Mayhem electrified the crowd!
Mayhem beat T.o.T just as T.o.T. looked like he was going to finish him off, but
Luscious Lily tripped T.o.T. up and held his legs down as Mayhem fell on top of
T.o.T., Mayhem blocking the view as Ref Hanson was counting,
Maybe a REMATCH is in store?
12. MANA d. The Equalizer w Shannon LaVey
Mana and The Equalizer had the fans going, Chants of Holy Shit, and Ma-Na
erupted throughout the arena, especially when Mana put the Equalizer through a
table at ringside, Mana showed he was a true warrior, and all the hype about his
ability, was DEFINITLEY true, another great talent coming from The Wild Samoan
Training Center (WXW) that should be seen all over!
The Equalizer came back from a long layoff, and looks good, it's good to see him
back in the ring.
13. Balls Mahoney w Bobcat d. Chris Candido w/o Johnny Diamond
1st, let me say this, Someone at WWE should be looking at these guys, and this
match, because if they did, they'd say Balls Mahoney and Chris Candido should be
in WWE today.
This was some of their best work, and featured a lot of mat work, great
wrestling holds and awesome psychology and fan involvement, Chris and Balls
worked this match as if the spotlight was on them, and only them, and Bobcat
showed why she was a top talent in WWF at one point, and seriously deserves
consideration of being brought to WWE.
Want the details? Want to see it? Well, you got to BUY the tape!
It will be available at the UWA Website- UWA-NJ.cjb.net , very shortly,
and remember, on MAY 23rd, in PASSAIC NJ, Balls Mahoney will defend the title vs
CHRIS CANDIDO and HOMCIDE in a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH!

Mitch,
I was sitting by where the good guys" came out. I saw
the ambulance and thought it was part of the show at
1st- that someone in the next match was going to have
an ambulance. :o)
Anyway, found out from someone who works for the
company that they thought that he had a couple of ribs
broken.
I talked to Kevin White Saturday and he confirmed to
me that 1 rib was broken. He said that after his match
w/KoKo he was having trouble catching his breath so
they had to call an ambulance.
Hope this helps,
Becky

The one thing I wasn't happy with at the Memphis Slam
Jam was the way that Brian Christopher talked before
the match. I had 2 kids there, 11 and 13, and they had
no business hearing that. Memphis Wrestling is a place
where people have always brought their kids and I was
embarrassed that I had the boys there during that.

Terry Landel's Tennessee Mountain Wrestling is putting together a Knoxville
legends show for Chilhowie Park on 7/11. The current list of legends appearing
has:
* Ron & Don Wright
* Ronnie Garvin
* Mongolian Stomper
* Bob, Brad & Scott Armstrong
* Bob Orton Jr. (father of Randy Orton)
* Tony Atlas
* Tommy & Doug Gilbert
* Dirty White Boy
* Robert Fuller
* Jerry Stubbs
* Buddy Landel
* Bob Roop
* Mr. Fuji
* "Wildfire" Tommy Rich
WEEE in Knoxville is quickly becoming the next WGTW. The station is going to
have wrestling programming on seven nights a week starting 5/1. The shows will
air in various slots between 5 PM and 11 PM. The current list of shows scheduled
includes:
* NWA Wildside
* NWA Main Event (Mike Porter's Nashville area promotion)
* USA Championship Wrestling
* Tennessee Mountain Wrestling
* TNA Xplosion
* IWA Total Impact (Puerto Rico)
* Women's Extreme Wrestling
* WWE Afterburn
They've also got 3PW, "midget wrestling", NWA Classic Wrestling, and IWA Classic
Wrestling listed. I have no idea what the story is with these. It's probably
safe to say that this wrestling overload has something to do with the station
dropping its UPN affiliation and going independent; they need something to fill
the time.
correction from last update regarding Jason Usry's Full Throttle Wrestling in
Mississippi. They will be taping TV every other Saturday, but the events won't
be taking place in the Mississippi Coliseum every other week. They will be at
different buildings in the area. The second taping is 5/22 in Canton, MS, and
the third is 6/5 in Vicksburg, MS.
An indy show in Pemberton, NJ on 5/2 will feature the first meeting between
Reckless Youth and Chris Hero
David Young has been booked on Jerry Wilson's 5/1 Hoosier Pro show in Columbus,
IN against Ox Harley. Young will be subbing for Tracy Smothers, who asked Wilson
if he could take another booking that day in Madisonville, KY instead. Wilson
was able to line up Young through Dutch Mantell, who worked the last HPW show.
Tennessee Mountain Wrestling taped TV in Knoxville on 4/24. The shows are
scheduled to air on 4/29 and 5/6 on WEEE in town. Big news was that Terry Landel
voided the title change from the taping in Lenoir City where Jack Miller beat
Lance Erickson. He returned the title to Erickson and announced Miller is gone
from TMW. Erickson brought in War Machine to take out Dirty White Boy. DWB beat
Machine after Erickson's interference backfired. At the next taping on 5/8, they
will have a three way for the title with Erickson, DWB, and Machine, but it was
played up as more like a handicap match for DWB. The Memphis Mafia won the tag
team titles from Sammy V & Ric Cannon. They had been building up a split between
Sammy and Cannon, and it finally happened here, as Sammy accidentally speared
Cannon to cost them the titles. Cannon turned on Sammy afterward. They will have
their first singles match on 5/8.

go and had a couple of original moves. I thought that Maven did a great
job. I felt very sad during the main event and I let it effect me, more
then it probably should have. This was the first time that I have seen
Road Warrior Animal without Hawk. I still am shocked that Hawk is not with
us. Animal looked good. I think Jerry Lawyer is probably in better shape
now then he was ten years ago. His drop kick tonight was the best that I
have ever saw him do. I will admit that prior to Aug 1979, when we moved
to Memphis, I have never seen Lawler. I might have missed his best.
I enjoyed the early matches as much as the three main events. I think the
first two matches set the tone for the rest of the night.
Almost as soon as I got in the building I ran into wrestling promoter that
I have always enjoyed being around. He told me some bad news, he had some
serious medical problems but is back on his feet. I thought about that all
night. You never know when some major medical problem can hit you and put
you flat on your back. I don't know exactly how old he is but I bet that I
am around twenty years older then he is. Happy to see him back walking
around and watching somebody else get in the ring. Good Luck my friend.
I also ran into a couple of Lethal Attitude workers and enjoyed a brief
exchange with them. I got to say "Howdy" to Derrick King. I did miss
seeing Jason Reed who has worked a couple of matches for Memphis Wrestling
and I thought he might be there. I also missed seeing Ken Wayne who I
thought might show up to watch the show.
I got a few words with Bill Dundee. I still say if the fans are going to
find out all of the back room stuff that has gone on with Memphis
Wrestling, it will happen when or if Bill Dundee writes his book. I will be
first in line to buy a copy. Bill Dundee said that he was thinking about
writing a book. I wonder how different Memphis wrestling would have been
without Bill Dundee and his many feuds and then tags partner with Jerry
Lawler. I will never forget the night that he put up his wife's hair in a
match and then lost. He always seems to play second to Jerry Lawler. I
think that Bill Dundee played just as big a role but never got the
credit. Guess thats life. I am always surprised at the ease that Bill
Dundee can go from face to heel and back to face. He does it with such
ease. One smile and the fans are behind him again. He is an artist.
I got to sit with some great people tonight. I was happy to see them
again. I wonder if the son of a plumber might be in the WWE one of these
days.
I had fun tonight. I am very happy that I went. I was disappointed at the
number of fans in the stands. They had ten matches on the card. There was
not a bad match all night. I remember the night that Jerry Lawler took on
Curt Henning and won the belt. There was not a empty night in the building
and they turned people away at the ticket window. Tonight there were more
empty seats then there were full ones for sure. That building hold 12,500
fans for wrestling. I don't think there were 1250 fans in the seats. Yes,
we get to watch so much on TV that we no longer have a desire to go see
live wrestling events. I don't know what today wrestling fans want to go
see. The last time there was a really good crowd in that building for
wrestling was for the legends show. That show pulled in over five thousand
fans. I guess when you can sit at home, drink beer and see Ric Flair,
HHH, and on down the WWE list, why would you want to go see a local Indy
show. I have said this before and will say it again and again. I have as
much or more fun going to local Indy shows in this area as I do watching
any WWE show. I got to see two WWE wrestler in the ring tonight at the
same time. I thought that some of our local guys worked as good a match as
the WWE guys worked. They just didn't have April. :-)
The ladies match was a wrestling match. Both ladies worked a good
match. I enjoyed watching it, because they were wrestling and not because
they were females in brief costumes. The name of the game is still
wrestling, it is not puppies. If I want puppies there are a couple of
clubs in Memphis. That is not why I go to a wrestling match.
I am well aware that todays wrestling is an illusion. There are a very few
of the old guys still working. There are still a very that could work an
old school match. Ken Wayne, Motley Cruz, Randy Rocket to name three. But
todays fans would never show up to watch that match happen. Today they
yell and scream at a bag of thumbtacks. They want Tables and
Ladders. They want Ball Bats on a pole match. They enjoy watching light
weights work a match. Every time I see one of these light weights work,
all I can think of is what Ole Anderson would do if they got in the ring
with him. It would be a total joke to see any of them get in the ring with
Johnny Valentine. Buddy Rogers would send all of them to the nearest
hospital. Somebody who I consider a very good friend, thinks that I am
jerk because I don't like the light weights. Maybe he is right. But, I
will always be a fan of the old school. I think the ultra stiff matches
were the best. It was nice knowing that Lou Thesz could beat any of his
opponents in a legit wrestling match. He didn't need a booker to help him
win. With some few exceptions, I don't think there is a wrestler that
could win a legit wrestling match against any of the NCAA champs working
today. I agree with Vince, he does not have a rasslin show, he has an
entertainment show.
I hope to see you tomorrow night at the Lethal Attitude Spring Break gala
affair. Things start around twelve noon and bell time is 8pm. They have a
great line up of matches tomorrow night. We plan on leaving Memphis around
4pm. That puts us in Dyersburg around 5:30pm. Going to check out what is
going on and then take Jan out to dinner. We might end up at Hickory
House, don't know. I know that as good as they are,she is not going to
settle for a hamburger or hot dog from the concession stand. We will then
be back around 7pm and find out seats. It is going to feel good to be back
at L.A,.W. show.
I know that there were a few people looking to met me tonight. Sorry it
did not work out. Maybe next time. Trust me, you didn't miss anything.
Hope to see you down the road at a live wrestling event
