It has been brought to my attention that a few of you would like to
compete in more full contact style tourney. I have added a form that
we will be using called the USAT. This is the governing body for the
Olympic team. Please look at it. I will also post the site address so
that you may see the rulebook and more info on the USAT. There are
many photos to look at as well. Let me know what you think.
Its time again for our Battle of The River City Open. The Event will be September 29th 2007 at the Clinton YMCA. I will put the flyer and also registration info on the site, it will be located in the files section. You may print it off and preregister.

I know for most people testing was last week but I wasn't there to test
because i had a soft ball game. But some people didn't test and some
of wich that didnt test last week tested today. It was a very good and
tiring testing but everyone that tested did excellent. And as we all
kno our moddow is our students leave sweaty, soar, and smiling. I'm
sorry I didnt get to c people test last week, but i'm sure you all did
an excellent job. Breaking was kewl but i hurt miself a few times and
I'm a bit bruised up from that board. Soon when all else failed i
triied a fliing side and eventually got though it. I saw some pretty
awsome breaks performed and i think everyone eventually got through
it. so good job everyone that tested today and last week and good luck
to anyone who might be testing soon lol...Sincerly, Ashley

Adam,
If you like I have a server to host the site on. Also if you wish I
can squat on whatever site name you want. It would be cheaper if you let me
do it rather than through the normal registrars. Let me know.

I don't know what the deal is with the messages on here, but it seems
like messages are disappearing and re-appearing. Anyone else
experiencing this phenomenon? Someone enlighten me as to whether or
not my computer is just being a freak.
A few of you know that I've been working on a website for Mellennia
Martial Arts. Well today, Ian (another Mellennia student and also the
person I ride to college with) told me he got his first student aid
check in the mail on Saturday. I've been expecting mine as well, and
when the check comes I'll be purchasing a domain for the site and so
that should be up within the next week or maybe 2 tops. Expect the
website to be http://www.mellenniamartialarts.com or something to that
nature, and we'll probably end up having forums on there, and maybe
(?) phasing this Yahoo group out, after those are up and running.
Any pictures that anyone has of past tournaments, or just neat TKD
pictures (Mellennia-related only, please) definitely feel free to
upload those to the Photos section to your right so I can put them in
a photo gallery on the website as well.

It was Clinton Academy. Brian actually told me about Bettendorf at the end of July like 20 minutes ago on the phone, so I didn't even know about that.
Congrats everyone who tested, I know I had an insane work out. It sure was hot in that gym today!

So how did everyone do at the tournament? Sorry I couldn't make it, but my
sister-in-law from Florida came to visit the kids this weekend.

Good luck Adam. Please give me a call if I can help you. Remember that no
matter what you may think about what you are studying, especially in IT is
that it doesn't matter whether you think your answer is right or wrong but
whether your teacher thinks it's right or wrong. IT isn't black and white
unless you are a teacher, then you need to have the answer he/she wants.

planning to come back on Saturday because my uncle gets out of jail
today so im going to be visiting with him tonight. I'll see you

I have in the recent weeks been suprised and very astranged with the
things that have happened. I feel now that the team of Black Belts I
have in charge are going to take these schools to the next level. I
feel that it is time to bump up the workouts and push everyone to the
max. I know that all of you enjoy working hard and give me the blood
sweat and tears that I ask for. We now have all four of the schools
running and ready to excel.
I ask that all of the students try to do their best to bring at least
2 new students to your school.
Promotions are just around the corner.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for calling and letting me know about the lack of class
tonight. I wouldn't have called. I would have let me go there and
discover it for myself. It would have been funny... in a mean sort of
way.
See ppl tomorrow
Preston is run by adrenalin filled full combat warriors
with a taste for battle. We train like navy seals and can
sparr for 30 minutes straight. Our kicks and punches are
thrown with bone crushing results and with pin point
accuracy.
Just kidding - Sam and Dan have been helping Mr Nixon out.

I haven't had the opportunity to call Mr. Nixon yet, I have just been too busy. However I wanted to take a moment to let him and the rest of the group know that Mr. Wagner and the Jesse twins have done an EXCELLENT job in Bettendorf. They have taken the classes to a new level of martial arts instruction, and motivation. My family and I, and the rest of the class is very happy that we have these men leading our classes. My son who was ready to take a break from martial arts has renewed enthusiasm, for which I am very grateful.
When 9/11 hit, I ended up in food service for awhile. I took the job seriously enough that I was a 2 store general manager within 3 years. Thankfully though I have returned to IT which is my passion.
I'm looking forward to tonight. It sucks that I've only been able to make it like one day a week for the past month, but I HAVE been
practicing my kicks and form at home..like a lot.. I haven't been working or anything and school is just NOW getting ready to start June 4 so I've been home with Seriphyna watching Dora and Diego all
afternoon. I *DO* have most of the graphics done for the Mellennia Martial Arts website, too! I still wanted to get pictures of the other academies, but they aren't 100% necessary, and I still need the physical addresses of all of the academies, too. If someone
could help me obtain that information that would be excellent!
I think I got a job at McDonalds with Maria, too.. haha.. I told them that I had to have Monday and Friday off for TKD, I'm pretty sure I
can be back from Black Hawk in time to get to work. I guess we'll just see how everything works out with it. I mean, it's McDonalds.. how seriously should I take this job? Whatever.
Ian actually came to class last Friday, but I sent him a text last
night and he gave me the negative on tonight. Bummer. There's always next week. Hopefully SOMEONE shows up, last week was pretty scarce.
