Wednesday night I got called in to work and left the academy to Mr.
Jess. I expected all of the students to listen and do as he says. I
was very amazed to here not only from one but four people told me how
terrible class had gone. There were some people who were not
following what I had told Mr. Jess to have the students do in class.
I dont think that anyone is better then anyone else or so much higher
that they dont have to listen. If you intend on being a part of our
school then you will follow the directions that I give the black belt
in charge. There is a reason behind that. So that when I come in on
Monday I know what has been covered. Some of you think you can just
change things without my approval or the approval of the black belt
in charge. THIS WILL STOP. All students will now begin to learn
humility and respect. I feel that those are the items that are
currently missing. It is sad to think that it has come to this but a
few of you are currently in the process of having your rank taken
from you. I EXPECT ALL STUDENTS WHO WERE AT CLASS TONIGHT TO BE AT
CLASS THIS COMING WEEK.
ALSO, for the people who have complained in the past that the
students do not respect them. I have to tell you that respect is
earned, not awarded. for those of you who think you are great because
you won a tournament, you will come to reality and join the rest of
us back on earth.

Im looking forward to seeing you all this week.

October 11th 2008 is the Battle of the River City Open. I would like
to have everyone compete. It will be a fun day.

Also Those who competed in Peosta did a great job. I am very proud of
all of you and excited to see the future.

Testing will be in Clinton September 27th at the Clinton YMCA 10:30
for the kids and 12 noon for the adults. Good luck to all. Testing
fees are only $30.00.

I have had some concerns that I will be clearing up. The Mellennia
Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do School has been made to serve the students.
Mellennia Martial Arts TKD holds all the Association and the Name
Mellennia Martial arts and all contracts that have been started by
the instructors and myself. It is a registered name. The Schools are
ran by contracting instructors that I have appointed to run the
schools. I have chosen these Instructors for various reasons. A few
things need to be noticed.

I have been made an offer to sell Mellennia Martial Arts schools,
contracts and all of its assets. I am currently debating on this
matter. I would like to have feedback from the people of the
schools, Instructors, Students, and Parents.  The Mellennia Martial
Arts Tae Kwon Do Schools have 5 locations in, Clinton, Bettendorf,
Preston, Dewitt, and Morrison. The instructors and myself run these
schools very well.

In the Future we will be hosting a USSSA event. One will be in
Bettendorf when Mr. Wagner gives me a date that he will set. The
other will be in Clinton after the Bettendorf event.

(1) To test in any off the schools you will need to be a
participating class member for the time specified by the contracting
instructor.
(2) To go to tournaments you will need to ask either myself or
the instructor that I have put in charge of your academy. Show
respect and do not go without permission. I will need to know who is
competing in what events when students do go to tournaments. There
are some events that we will not go to for reasons of fairness.
(3) Our Tournament in October is not required but strongly
recommended for you to attend. We would like everyone's
participation at the event. It is going to be a great event. Forms,
Breaking, Sparring, and Weapons.
(4) Instructors will sign and understand our terms of agreement
for all of you to run the schools. You will also acknowledge that if
I tell you to change something you will make the change.
(5) I allow students to speak to the instructors at anytime and
encourage it however I will not see or hear students contacting
Instructors and calling them by their first name.
(6) Students WILL NOT train in any location other then a
Mellennia Martial Arts School without my approval.
(7) NO INSTRUCTOR from any other school will teach in Mellennia
Martial Arts Tae Kwon Do schools without my approval.
(8) No other Style of martial arts will be taught in any
location without my approval.
(9) The name and location of ALL SCHOOLS will be decided by me.
(10) NO SCHOOL will change names for any reason unless a sale of the
location occurs.
(11) I S.E.Nixon have the executive authority over all of the
schools and will make any changes or decisions at anytime without
consulting any of the instructors. I may ask your opinion however I
hold the authority to make changes or dismissal.
(12) Any student or Instructor who is not following the code of
Martial Arts and not being an honest student will be excluded from
the academy and terminated.
(13) Currently I do not charge the instructors to run the schools;
this may change in the future.
(14) All POOMSE AND BLACK BELTS will be tested before myself there
are no exceptions. Instructors will need to approach me and inform
me that they have a student worthy of being a black belt. Some
students have received black belts by waiting. Now it has changed.
Our Black Belts will be above the others.
(15) IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED TO follow other association's rules
and procedures. You will follow our rules or do not come.
(16) There has been a problem of theft in the past. If you are in
Instructor you will be required to have your own equipment. If you
do not it will be returned if you are separated from the school for
any reason.
(17) If you go to another School you DO NOT COME BACK!
(18) There will be a chain of Command made that all of you will
follow.
(19) Mellennia Martial Arts is going to host its own Olympic events
in the future. I am currently arbitrating a deal with other schools
to start our own league.
(20) Disrespect will not be tolerated in any way. If you are told to
do something and you fail you will be separated.

Preston:    I thank all the students that are keeping Mellennia
Martial Arts alive out there, we all know its hard to bring other
people or old students back to class, but please keep up the hard work
and keep on pushin them into comming in! I haven't had no problems
with any of you all over there and i want Preston school to show that
we are ready for any challenge that looks at us. Keep up the good Work
and keep the Kicks High!

Morrison:    This school will hopefully be starting next week,

I miss the students who use to attend the Preston school.  Many of
these students are good kids who should consider coming back.  Consider
this:  Tae Kwon Do is something you can do your whole life.  It's good
for your health and keeps your heart and lungs fit.  You can never
master this sport, you will always be learning.  Tae Kwon Do breeds
confidence and confidence will take you a lot of places in your life.
So, if any of the past Preston students read this consider coming back
to your Tae Kwon Do family.  Tae Kwon Do is suppose to be challenging.
Most things it life that are worth doing are challenging.  Even if you
can only make it once a week, consider coming back.  The students who
have stayed are becoming very good.  Mr. Kilburg (future black belt).

Those who had competed in Des Moines for USSSA did great. I just wanted
to take a minute and say thank you. You have all worked hard and fought
well. Keep up the good work team!

Dear Mr. Nixon,
     Monday class was small  6 students Mr. Jess and Mr. Litty. We did
stairs which I requested since the track was closed.The class may not
have like my request but We did stair. We also did olympic Sparring
which was different.

Just want to clear up some confusion. I was approached the other day
and asked about a school that someone owns. Well it turns out to be a
school that I actually own. Let me explain. I own all 4 of the Tae
Kwon Do schools. Clinton, Preston, Dewitt and Bettendorf. The
instructors that are there are documented as contractors.

In he past I have had people pay me a percetage of their schools
income for my name. Also I remind you that I founded all of these
schools. Dont get caught up in the person wantig to be ther bigshot.
Just learn to be a part of the team. I havent charged a fee to either
of the Dewitt or Bettenforf instructors at this time but if the
schools are not ran the way I want it will start.

Great Job to all of those who tested. You did excelent.

I have updated the list and it includes testings and also APRIL 5th
will be our home invitational tournament.

Just wanted to say thank you to all of the members of our schools for
being a part of our academy in 2007. Happy New Year and many more
great things to come.

I am back from the ILEA and will be running the mojority of the
classes. Some of the back belts will still be teaching and assisting
at times. In my in the event that I cannot make it to a class Mr. Jess
will be teaching. Also The Pool party is Saturday from 1pm to 3pm at
the Clinton YMCA all Schools are welcome. There will be one class that
day from 12 to 1.

I would like to see full uniforms and also everyone working hard. We
will be doing alot of olympic sparring and new drills. Be Ready.

USSSA tournaments coming soon.

Also.

A word of Advice for those who seem to put the cart before the
horse. "Slow down or you may miss what you are actually looking for".

When you come to class you will work out with the group. Not in the
gym or else where. TKD is in the academy.

I have recently made some changes to our school and I feel that it was
tough to do yet a positive change. I am looking to add some new and
exciting things for all of you. I welcome all of the new white belts
and also the group of students who transferred from another school.
You are a great part of our family of martial artist.

Respect and discipline are two things that are very important to me. I
want to see our students achieve the best.

It has been brought to my attention that a few of you would like to
compete in more full contact style tourney. I have added a form that
we will be using called the USAT. This is the governing body for the
Olympic team. Please look at it. I will also post the site address so
that you may see the rulebook and more info on the USAT. There are
many photos to look at as well. Let me know what you think.
