Master Evan Nixon
Hi everyone I have some spare time today in school so I thought I'd
comment on our site it's really looking great! Everyone did an awesome
job in the tournament. Abbigail and I are just looking aorund the
mellenia site and thought we'd make a post on our site! Well we have
to go read so we'll talk to everyone later! bye!
I do hope that everyone that came to the party had a good time.
Thank you Mr. Fullerton for assisting. It shows that our school is
not just 2 separate schools one in Preston and the other in Clinton.
This truly showed that you are all one. It was a neat, safe,
positive day for all of our students to enjoy some time together. I
think everyone had a blast. I do have to say after dragging around
12 kids on my shoulders for 15 minutes I was very tired!!!
Thank you to all who came and thank you for all of your hard work. I
enjoy hearing students asking how they can become better, faster,
and more skillful with every tech. that they use. Its a great
feeling to know that people are interested in the art. I find that
some are students who wish they would of trained when they were
younger. Well, all I have to say is, if you did. We may have never
crossed paths. For which I do think this has been a great time to
build my system and our schools. To think Mellennia started as 4
people in a small dance school; one night a week in 1997. Just
imagine what the future may bring. I guess we all come from
different walks of life and I saw all of those today at the Pool
Party, but did that stop anyone from feeling at ease and welcome?
No, we prove that differences aside make us great. As well as each
of you from different walks of life have new thoughts and hopefully
someday offer a hand at teaching our schools and breathing life into
the future of martial artists.
So everyday, I think that it is wonderful that we have all crossed
paths and come together.
Master S. E. Nixon
My shin is sore also. I enjoy sparing, but I sure feel
like a yellow belt when I'm doing it. With time and
patience hopefully I well get more comfortable doing it.

I think too much when I spar. I guess that's part of
being a low rank. Just like with wrestling, at some
point, you do moves without thinking about it. Experience
and time will make all the difference.

I feel your pain. I too got my butt kicked by Mr. Linke. 5-2 so
don't feel too bad about your 5-3. I've decided that I'm never going
to let that happen to me again.. not in terms of being beaten like
that, I don't have to much of a problem with that but I should have
trained harder going into the tournament. I missed class for about a
straight week going into it and I got pummelled. At least I got my
two third place trophies. Woot!

L. He landed a nice head shot on me and won the match 5-3. Congrats
to him. I look forward to our rematch.
This week I will work on not over training and not getting hurt. When
I was younger I would often overtain before a big event. Now that I'm
and old guy I've learned how to relax a little. Hopefully Mr.
Baughman will be in class on Tuesday to put me through some good
sparring without knocking me out with a head kick. If all goes well I
shoould be heathly and hungry for battle on Saturday.

Well I for one think that you two will be very suprised, see I have
had myself the pleasure of making a little wildcard we might say for
the event. Its someone who you wouldnt even think of. So Adam, Mark
you two might wanna hang up those gloves, the 4th will be a horse of a

Just kidding I think its very cool.
Too funny Adam.
Funny stuff Adam lol. I hope other Mellennia members are enjoying
this as much as we are. This is what it's about for me - having fun
and doing something you love. Looking foward to talking to you at
the tournament.

UFC Interview with Adam Zigler regarding his upcoming rematch with
Mark Kilburg.
Joe Rogan - Adam, in your first bout Mark Kilburg clearly came out on
top. What makes you think that things will be different this time
around?
Adam Zigler - Well Joe Rogan, I've been training hard! Sometimes 4,
even 5 days a week. I've been working a lot on conditioning and
setting myself back into that "eye of the tiger" mindset that I was
lacking in the first fight.
Joe Rogan - In your opinion, what made you lose the first bout?
Adam Zigler - Well Joe Rogan, you see, Mark Kilburg is a quick
fighter. He easily has the quickest hands in the under green
division, bar none. Every time he got near me I just seemed to give
it up. I don't know what it was exactly, it was almost as if he knew
what I was going to do.. before I did, even!
Joe Rogan - So what you're saying, is that in essence Mark Kilburg got
inside your head and psyched you out?
Adam Zigler - What are you trying to say, Joe Rogan? No one gets in
my head! Are you questioning my abilities? NO ONE PSYCHES ADAM
ZIGLER OUT! I'LL EAT WORMS JOE ROGAN! COVER ME IN SNAKES JOE ROGAN!
I DON'T EVEN CARE! I'LL EAT WORMS! (long pause) ..... okay... Sorry
Joe Rogan.. maybe he did psyche me out just a tad....
-END INTERVIEW-
Mike Goldburg - Well there you have it folks.. Adam Zigler will eat
worms. We'll be looking forward to this rematch, if and when it
happens, and you'll only see it here: Inside the octagon!

UFC Interview with Mark Kilburg regarding his upcoming
rematch with Adam Zigler.
UFC - Mark, Adam Zigler is a tough opponent. In your
first match you came out on top. How do you see your
rematch going?
Mark - Well, Adam has good skills and and I'm sure he
would like to win this one. He's hungry coming off a lose
so it should be a great match. In the end, it should be
fun to watch either way. I'll be watching the video of
our first match to see where I can improve.

The kids and I are looking foward to the tournament. We have been
sparring at home and practicing on the wavemaster. The kids have some
new moves, so it should be a fun day. This will be our first big
tournament. I hope to see a lot of our students that day. The
Preston school continues to grow. It's always nice when the Clinton
students come to Preston to work out with us. So, if you're a Clinton
student and you can make it to Preston every once and awhile, please
do so.

Be there or be square! I know I will be!
November 4th 2006 is the date to remember. It will be a great day. I
look forward to seeing many competitors from other schhols as well as
ours. If you have not already turned in your sheet please do so soon.
It is Important to pre-register to save time and money. The Tournament
will be set up so that the rings will be used and cleared very
quickly. Also. We will put a group of children in a ring with the next
division of adults standing by. It should go fast.
Ill see you all soon, and looking forward to watching all of you
compete.

Mr. Nixon

As of recently things are going great with Mellennia TKD. The
schools are looking great and people are working very hard. To look
at our school now compared to my old school 6 years ago; it is a
huge difference. Today's students of Mellennia are faster stronger
and I feel beet trained. We have a Great Academy and it will
continue to be just that and more. We are looking at a few
renovations at the Clinton School and getting more mats and more
equipment in the Preston school. The thought has also come up about
having a TKD tourney in Preston. I think we will host a smaller
tourney there to see how it goes and then possibly host a larger
one.
Remember upcoming events
November 4th Battle of the River city Open Clinton YMCA
November 18th Clinton Testing
November 21st Preston Testing
After teaching for many years and learning the arts I come to
understand that Tae Kwon Do is becoming bigger and bigger for people
in our area. Our academy dose great because we treat our students
well and train then to be the best. Now the best is a term that may
be different for each of us. Some may believe that for them to be
the best that they can be it will be them achieving a higher kick.
For some it will be a stronger form, and others, simply an overall
statement. I feel that each of us has our own potential and we will
reach it someday. May you try to supercede this , yes. However all
it will take is a little hard work. You all do this very well!
On another note, as far as my future I have decided that I will stay
in the area and continue to teach our style of Tae Kwon Do. It has
become something that I really enjoy and ever love. It is a art and
most definitely my way of life.
Also thank you, Mr. Fullerton for the Re-Breakable boards!!!
Good luck in the future and I will see you all soon.
The kids and I really enjoyed the tournament. They are already asking
when the next one is. Thank you to all who competed and to Mr Nixon
for using the day as a way for new comers to learn how tournaments are
run. I enjoyed watching the high ranks spar - you guys and gals
looked good.
Thank you to all high ranks who have given the kids and I advice along
the way.
Also, if you missed it - Sam White did a low round kick and smashed
through 2 boards. It was pretty awesome - you rock Sam!
Mark
I have a few thoughts that I have talked over with a few of the senior
ranks on future black belt testing. I will say this, it will be a time
you will remember.
I am going to print off some flyers with the site address on it so
that other students may join us here. Remember this isnt just for
Mellennia People, if you have friends you would like to join please
do. Great job to all of the students you are all doing a great job.
This school I have now of Preston and Clinton, are far greater than my
old school I started in 1997.
Well I have now added a hanging punching bag as well as a cornerman to
the preston school and more mats. I am happy the way it looks. Mr.
Baughman is right, it is now starting to look like a academy. All of
the students that are involved there now will hopefully reach their
black belts together. It will continue to grow and so will you.
