Re: internal styles in melb

Hi Brett,

1) Wong Li's chief student is Fred Li who used to live in Doncaster
East.
I think he still does. But I lost touch with him.
Fred Li is the most able student of Wong Li and should be able to
represent Wong Li.
I do not know where Wong Li has moved to - he seems to have
disappeared totally from Melb!

2) Thanks for the invitation. I have just joined your group.

3) Please extend invitation to any Melbourne Tai Chi practitioners to
join this group when you meet up ith them. This group is for
them! It is not for me. It is also not a 'one issue' or 'one
event' pusher.

4) Wong Li was a student of Fu Wing Fai. For how long, I can not
confirm - there are conflicting accounts. But he certainly can be
confirmed to be a student of Fu Wing Fai. He is quite fluid in his
Ba Gua and Xing Yi and Leung Yee Quan movements, as well as other
Shaolin-like stuff such as Tiger Boxing, staff, WuShu sword and
spear etc. I agree with Erle Montaigue in his article in the old
AFA magazine that (at that time) Wong Li would probably be one of
the top WuShu masters in Melbourne. I have a copy of that article
somwhere in my junk of archives. :):):)

5) Only very remotely related to your project:- the lady Master Bow
Sim Mak of USA was also a student of Fu Wing Fai, I assume. Have
not heard about her for more than 10 years.

Warmest regards,
John Chow
