Special Interest Groups, and workshop repeats   Message List

Dear all,

In order to develop skills in my own students, specifically certain
aspects of Tai Chi and Arnis, it has been my wish to establish
definitive `special interest groups' which meet regularly to practise
their specialised arts.

The workshops are a way of introducing the specialised skills of the
art to students and the general public. So that we get as many people
to know about the art, and to raise our profile. These workshops are a
prerequisite to the special interest groups, just as every profession
organisation or elite group has its prerequisite qualification for
membership entry. The special interest groups are not for the general
public to join. They are elite, and exclusive to my students and those
who have attended my prerequisite workshops.

The special interest groups are a means to follow up on the skills
that have been introduced to participants in my workshops.
Participants who wish to continue their training and develop their
skills are advised to join the groups.

In future workshops, participants will be asked to indicate the
desired frequency of meeting, days, and times

The first 2 special interest groups to be formed will be:-
Tai Chi Push Hands Society
Tai Chi Staff Fighting Society

Prerequisites for the Push Hands Society are the Introduction to Push
Hands workshop, and the Beginner Push Hands workshop 1 only at this stage.

Prerequisites for the Staff Fighting Society are the Introduction to
the Quarter Staff, and the Tai Chi Staff of Lu Tong Bao.

In order for this to happen, I am offering to repeat these workshops
to give those who missed the previous workshops to attend.
