I assume you meant the MKII, and am not surprised. Many kit cars and
even lots of show cars,/prototypes in the day used windshield and door
assemblies from other cars. It was a sticking point that limited
production of such cars as the Cheetah, and you may remember the
shooting brake" conversion the Group 44 body guy did for me on an AMX
using a Pinto hatchback rear window and frame. I was proud of how that
turned out, while was one of the ugliest features of the surprisingly
quick Consulier design. Also resulted in the quirky look of a lot of
race cars like the early Marcos and even the first Chevrons.
