Don:

We were all curious because he said that they weren't going to push the car hard
as they had a buyer when they got back to FL. And he said they planned to leave
as soon as the race was over. That's why we were all shocked at not seeing him
come by and then seing the rig going over the bridge a few minutes later.

BTW, did he show you the pictures of his RX7? It's a classic work of Diehl!

Vate, Lee Talbot, and a few other Marlboro folks were there as well. I was able
to get an extended private interview with Dick Thompson thanks to Sue Roethel's
assistance in setting that up. I was able to show him a few of Dave Roethel's
old 8mm Marlboro movies (now converted to DVD). I also did a long interview with
Ed Diehl. I wish I'd known you were there! My regular camera was in the
shop for repairs, but I did have my wife's 3mp camera. I hope to be posting a
few shots from this reunion on the site here -- at least insofar as they relate
to Marlboro.
