Don:
Ed was off the middle lane through the pits about half way up. We talked to him on Sunday just before he was supposed to go out to race. We went up the hill by the bridge and saw the class come by with no Eddie. About 15 minutes after the start, we saw the car on the trailer heading over the bridge.
Does anyone know what happened?

Steve,
I must have walked 5 miles looking for Ed Diehl. I asked everyone and was told that he was there but I sure couldn't find him. I also was looking for Truman's Turner #2 but couldn't find that either. Were they still there on Sunday? I was only able to make it on Sunday. But I got some great shots of the cars.
I also ran into an old competitor Phil Curran.(#99 StingRay) Haven't seen him since we ran the Daytona IMSA Camel GT event in 1975. Really enjoyed the reunion.

Don,Pete van der Vate, Lee Talbot, and a few other Marlboro folks were there as well. I was able to get an extended private interview with Dick Thompson thanks to Sue Roethel's assistance in setting that up. I was able to show him a few of Dave Roethel's old 8mm Marlboro movies (now converted to DVD). I also did a long interview with Ed Diehl. I wish I'd known you were there! My regular camera was in the shop for repairs, but I did have my wife's 3mp camera. I hope to be posting a few shots from this reunion on the site here -- at least insofar as they relate to Marlboro.

there, Jim Franklin was driving the same Courier that he drove at
Marlboro and Jim Netterstrom won another race with his potent Super
Seven. Jim had his lovely Allard J2X on display at the Gallery. I was
just spectating although technicaly crewing on a Morgan. Cezar Cone,
who raced a Sumbeam Alpine at Marlboro was still on track in an Alfa
Duetto. It's great to see old friends. :) Dick Thompson and Carol
Shelby were there too and I had a chance to say Hi to Dick.
