Folks,
The Board of Directors of the DC Region, SCCA wants me to give them
some numbers for our January 20th Marlboro History Group Meeting at
the Region's annual awards banquet. I've heard more or less
informally from most of you, but it would help if you could give me
an update.

If you've forgotten, or didn't get my earlier e-mail, the Region is
hosting their awards banquet on January 20, 2007 in suburban Virginia
(someplace near the Beltway). They are renting a conference room for
us so we can meet each other, exchange stories and peruse Dave
Roethel'e memorabilia. I doubt that we'll categorize everything Dave
left us, but we'll get off to a good start. For those of you who live
outside the area, the Region is planning on providing overnight
accommodations for you -- but I need to know roughly how many of you
require that.

Even if you e-mailed me before about this, I'd really appreciate an
RSVP no later than tomorrow night if possible. The Region needs to
get a handle on the expenses because they anticipate it will be
enough that funding this will require a Board vote. They are meeting
over the weekend to discuss this issue as well as others. I promised
I'd give them an estimate.

Since it is only an estimate, this doesn't mean you can't come if you
can't tell me by tomorrow night. The Board just needs a ballpark
figure.

Rick, you mentioned you told Paul O'Malley about this. Any chance you
can verify that? Sue, we've got you covered, but keep me posted on
that "probably." If you folks can think of anyone else who might want
to come, please let me know as soon as you can. My "Marlboro list"
isn't complete, as many of you have other Marlboro friends not on my
list. If you could share their e-mails with me, that would be
appreciated.
