Good day folks,

I had to sell my beloved Beetle to pay for an experimental chemo drug during my
cancer
treatment last year. I didn't think that being carless would be too awful, since
I both work
and live in a city with bus, subway, and light rail systems. Well, I hopelessly
overestimated
the efficiency of Baltimore's public transit!! Baltimore is also one of the most
pedestrian- and
bicycle-hostile places I've known.

Anyway, I have to find some kind of wheels. If anyone has--or is aware of
someone who has-
-a beater for sale cheap (<$1,000), please let me know. I need something mostly
for
local errands; maybe an occasional road trip, but that would be rare. Something
relatively
reliable (no miracles are expected at this price). Any condition is acceptable
as long as it's not
unsafe and can pass state inspection for street use. Door numbers, tech
stickers, sponsor
graphics, and roll cages are all perfectly acceptable. :-)
