Folks,
Very soon I must make final arrangements for our "Marlboro Reunion
II" of July 12-13, 2008. On Saturday, July 12th, we're having a
vintage/competition/sports car show at Surreybrooke Gardens near
Frederick, MD. There is no fee involved in the car show. Later that
evening -- probably on our own nickel -- we'll gather at a pub/tavern
in Frederick, MD for a welcome beer "party." On Sunday, July 13th,
we'll gather at Ostertag Vistas, also near Frederick, MD, for the
actual Reunion, with a roundtable discussion, Marlboro movies,
memorabilia to peruse, and some displays. Each day activities are
slated for 10am to 4pm. (Saturday's beer party we'll figure out that
day.)
The Reunion itself on Sunday July 13th does involve expenses that
need to be covered. I'm trying to keep everything to no more than $50
per person (rental of the site, lunch, beer for Sunday). I'm at a
point, however, where I must know how many people are coming so I can
finalize the financial arrangements.
If you are fairly certain you can join us for the Reunion, I really
need to know as soon as possible. Please e-mail me at
wdcrhistory@... and let me know what days you can join us,
and how many in your party. May I ask you to e-mail this to me this
week? There is a chance the Washington DC Region, SCCA will cover
some of our expenses, but I need to tell the Board how many people
are coming. EVEN IF YOU RESPONDED BEFORE, I REALLY NEED TO HEAR FROM
YOU THIS WEEK!
