Re: [Manitoba_Windsurfing_Club] Re: Windsurfing Canada

Hi

I would be interested in windsurfing on your lakes. If you have any events, please let me know. Also, I assume ther is some camping ground. I guess if I were to drive to Regina from Winnipeg I would like to stay there couple of days.

Paul Matousek asked:

Noticed that that all events are in the far east or far west. Has there ever been an event planned for
central Canada? What would it take for Sask/MB/NW Ont to get something together?

Paul

I know that you directed the question to John and I'll let him answer you.

Just so you know, the Saskatchewan Windsurfing Club hosted the Tudor
Canadian National Championships in 1994. That may or may not have been
before your windsurfing time. I don't know.... ;-)  Currently the SWC is
once again looking at doing this again.

The SWC also holds several events throughout the year that you would be
more than welcome to attend. In June, there is the Wind and Water
Weekend at Elbow on Lake Diefenbaker (where the Nationals were held) and
the Provincial Championships on the Labour Day Weekend at Regina Beach
on Last Mountain Lake, 30 miles from Regina. If you need more info let
me know.
