Hi All,
I know that some of the kiters and windsurfers have this messaging system where by one can receive text messages about wind conditions. These messages are sent by members who actually have gone sailing and can confirm wind conditions at the site.
I have a blackberry (some people call it crackberry, there is a reason for that....) phone I can try to use for this.

Well, the good news is it's not an Obrien proprietory thing. Looks like a Windsure. They are no longer manufacturing and only into teaching watersports now. They were a fairly common cheaper alternative to a Chinook system. Someone here may have parts laying around still. The person that gave you the board in the first place??
Even better news is that it does look like the board will accept Chinook gear instead. Which is very common and more likely to find used here or anywhere.
