Sorry if you received duplicate emails regarding the Arabian Horse Open
Competitions.  I thought I erased the first one.  oops.

We have been approved from the Arabian Horse Assn. for inclusion into
their Open Competition Program, for purebred horses who compete at our
open shows.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to compete for points that
will become a permanent part of your horse's records.  Riders may also
enroll even if you don't own the Arabian you are showing.

You will be competing anyway, and should take advantage of this program.

After corresponding with the good folks from the Arabian Horse Assn, we
have applied and been approved for their open competition program.

Their program is similar to the Paint Horse Assoc. PAC program, in that
purebred Arabian horses who compete at our open shows, may accumulate
points.  These points have their own awards and recognition system and
the points become permanently contained in the horse's records.
Arabian also allows for riders who are not the owner to gain points.

If you are a member of the Arabian Horse Assn., it would be a good
choice to enroll your horse/rider.  You are competing anyway; you might
as well take advantage of the program and get those valued points on
your horse's records.

All four of our circuit shows have been approved by the American Paint
Horse Association for inclusion into their Paint Alternative
Competition program  (PAC).

If you own a Paint horse and are interested in accumulating points that
will become a part of that horse's permanent Paint Records, go to the
appropriate page on the MWVHSC website.  You do not need to be a member
to enroll and accumulate points, but you do need to join in order to be
eligible for any awards that the APHC awards to PAC winners.

I am also in the process of inquiring if other breed organizations have
an equivalent program for their breed of horse.  I believe that
Appaloosa used to have it and perhaps more of the others do too.  If
this is the case, I will be posting the information on the website.

Show season is getting closer.  You can send in entries at any time.

I have been out of the horsie thing for many years, but am excited to
see that the MWVHSC is coming back strongly.  I still have my grade
morgan, Tuckerman.  If you can believe it, he will be 27 this
year!!!!  He is having a great time hanging in the backyard and
occasionally letting my two girls get a ride.  He has decided in his
old age that he does not need to teach beginners any more, but if you
know what you are doing he is still a lot of fun.  Best of luck in the
upcoming show season.

Thats great to hear. Someone posted about him on another group that I

Got a stall!

Bunny Elms just called and said that Sue passed away from breast
cancer.  I guess she was moved to a hospice last weekend, but she
passed on Tuesday.  The funeral is on Saturday in Barre, MAss.

It would be OK to send a card, even if you don't know them
personally.  Just mention Lancaster Fair and include your stable
name.  It would please the family immensely.  Jim showed at Lancaster
as a little boy when his Dad brought their Wah-ho-wa Morgans to the
Fair.

Evelyn Elms called last night and left me a voicemail that Sue Allen
from Barre, Mass. passed away.  I do not have more details.

Sue missed last year's Lancaster Fair (the first time since eternity)
due to back problems.  Whether this had anything to do with her
illness, I don't know.

Sue and her husband, Jim, showed Arabians, half-arabians, a Morgan or
two and Jim's buckskin Appy once in a while.

Sue's Mom used to accompany them and she used to walk around with the
little Dachshound.

Evelyn will forward more info to me and I will forward to you.

A complete all-purpose English saddle, w/ Granda label, but is
compared to a Courbette, w/ 32" girth, leathers and stirrups...had it
done over by a leatherman, and the accessories are in brand new
condition, it is show worthy...I think it is a 15-16" seat, with a

A nice Simco Western saddle, 151/2 seat, russet color, with back
strap, off billet, tie strap w/ holes, and lots of silver...asking

A really nice Western silver heart show bridle, reins, and breast
collar, dark oiled, bought from Saddle Shop...paying over
$350.00.....asking $200.00, it is in new condition...

A padded English bridle w/ reins, and kimberwick bit...from Saddle
Shop, very nice set, like new....asking $150.00

Have numerous show clothes, black new chaps, never worn, and brown
