SADDLE UP FOR ST JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL

WHEN: Sunday, September 23th, 2007 at 10:00AM
WHERE:: Beginning at 148 Rabbit Path, Bath, NH

A Saddle Up event to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
will be held Sunday, September 23, 2007 in Bath, NH. The Volunteer
Coordinator for this event is Bonnie Ash, moderator for the North
Country Horse Riders Network. The event will be a 6 mile trail ride
beginning at 10:00am.

By participating in this event, volunteering for or sponsoring
someone who is, you will help raise funds for children of the world
who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS, and Sickle Cell
Anemia. These funds will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against
childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. All riders and
volunteers will automatically have their name put on one ticket in
the raffle bucket free. Additional raffle tickets will be for sale
the day of the event for $1 each.

How the Saddle Up Ride Works

You collect a sponsor sheet. You fill out the Sponsor form with your
information. Then you set a monetary goal for yourself and ask
friends, relatives, employers, and anyone else you can think of to
sponsor you in your fight to end childhood cancers. My personal goal
is to ask everyone who attends the event to either receive
sponsorships for or donate a minimum of $20. Participants raising
$35 or more receive a Saddle Up for St Jude T-shirt. Generally, the
more sponsors you have, the better your chance of winning a prize
and the bigger the donation to St. Judes. Encourage others to
participate too. On September 23rd bring your completed Sponsor Form
to the event. They will be collected at the registration table.
There is a Release of Liability on the Sponsor Form that will need
to have a signature. Following the ride, we will hand back your
Sponsor Form and your Collection Envelope and you can begin
collecting pledges. Pledges will be due on September 30th. 2007.
Have sponsors write checks out to you and then convert all cash and
checks to one check made payable to St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital. Turn in all your donations and Sponsor Forms to me. Some
folks prefer to sponsor you for the completed ride instead of by the
mile. Some folks prefer to give you a donation. All donations are
tax deductible and folks can retrieve the tax ID number by faxing a
request to Saddle Up at 800-592-9482.

According to St Jude's records, in the last 5 years there have only
been 2 Saddle Up events New Hampshire. The first was a trail ride
and the other was a horse show. They brought in $630 and $1200. It
would be great if we could top that.

VOLUNTEERS -–you can get pledges and sponsors as well. Just explain
to folks that you will be volunteering your time and energies to the
event and ask if they would be willing to give a donation!! The
participant prizes work like this - all participants receive a lapel
pin. +$35 T- shirt, +$75 backpack, +$125 Sweatshirt, +$175 cap. All
prizes are cumulative!!

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a world leader in the fight
again these diseases, and they have made great progress because of
people who participate in and donate to events such as this. St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for
its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer
and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by late entertainer Danny
Thomas, and based in Memphis, TN, St. Jude freely shares its
discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the
world. No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance,
and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is
financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization. For
more information, please visit www.stjude.org.

If you are interested in participating in the September Saddle Up
for St. Jude event in Bath, NH or making a contribution, please
