Greetings:
I have had a spate of late adds lately, and was asked to intervene in a couple of guest player situations that have been critically late and incomplete. You all have known about your games and tournaments for weeks, or even months, and you registered for those events with the players you had prior to your add, so it's really tough for me to feel much sympathy, especially when I get the docs one week before the event and they're incomplete. There is a week's waiting period at a minumum (sometimes more) and the clock starts ticking only when the D2 registrar gets the paperwork, not me. Do not expect me or Kathie or Laura, our D2 registrar, to drop everything in order to process an add that was left to the last minute and turned in without an add form, birth certificate or with a terrible picture. I try to get to paperwork within 24 hours of receiving it, and I do try to drop everything if it's urgent. Summer is full of vacations (including for me and the other registrars) and injuries happen. Plan accordingly and do your paperwork in a timely manner.
All adds come directly to me for processing. They must be accompanied by an add form (adult or player, depending) and the usual registration paperwork, and include a check for the full fall registration fee. 50% of the adds I receive do not include the add form. I generally fill one out for you.
All transfers must be accompanied by the signed transfer form (releasing and accepting team at the very least must have signed), the player pass and registration form and a check made out to CYSA for $5.00. Please be advised that if both a releasing and an accepting league signature need to be collected, the transfer can take quite a while to process. Transfers can go directly to Kathie. If you bring it to me along with other paperwork that's fine too; I'll pass it on.
All drops can go directly to Kathie. The drop form must be accompanied by the player pass and registration form, and include a reason and the player's parent's signature (or the player's if the player is 18 or older. There are no full refunds; the league gets charged for the player's insurance, etc. regardless of whether they dropped.
Guest paperwork goes directly to Kathie. Guest paperwork typically must be received by the D2 registrar 5 days before the event.
Please consult your team manual and/or the tournament web sites for specifics regarding waiting periods and guest player policy.
