Subject: Soccer Silicon Valley and the San Jose Earthquakes 2005 Season Ticket Pledge Drive
Dear Earthquakes Fan,
Normally at this time of year we would be sending out information regarding 2005 season tickets. But as many of you already know the future of the Earthquakes here in San Jose is in doubt and has yet to be determined. Because of this uncertainty, we will not be taking any deposits for season tickets, but we’d like to let you know about a unique way you can support your Earthquakes at this time.
Below is a link to a flyer that explains a season ticket pledge drive that Soccer Silicon Valley has organized and that the Earthquakes wholeheartedly support. Soccer Silicon Valley (SSV) is an organization dedicated to helping find local ownership that would keep the team in the Bay Area. One of the ways you can help their efforts is by pledging to purchase season tickets for 2005. SSV is not collecting any payment at this time; they are simply collecting pledges for 2005 season tickets. Your pledge to SSV will be used to illustrate, to potential owners, the commitment that Earthquakes fans are willing to make to this team.
To make your pledge please do one of the following:
- E-mail the Earthquakes ticket office at: sjearthquakes@...
- E-mail Soccer Silicon Valley at: ticketpledge@....
- Call the Earthquakes ticket office at: (408) 985-GOAL
- SSV season ticket pledge drive flyer: http://www.soccersiliconvalley.com/pdf/season_ticket_drive.pdf
When e-mailing please include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and the number of season tickets you are pledging for 2005. We also encourage you to visit SSV at: www.soccersiliconvalley.com and learn about this group and their extraordinary efforts.
Finally, we know that this has been a difficult year for our fans and we thank you for your continued loyal support. The passion and commitment that you have shown comes from a belief in this team and everything it represent to the Bay Area. We hope that with the help of people like Soccer Silicon Valley, we can find a long-term solution to keep the Earthquakes in the Bay Area. Thank you for your time and enjoy the rest of the season.
