Join the Noon Rally for a Soccer Stadium on Friday, August 20
Noon to 1:00 pm
Cesar Chavez Plaza in San Jose

The San Jose Earthquakes may be sold and moved out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Without a workable stadium arrangement, the MLS will abandon the Bay Area.

Soccer Silicon Valley (SSV) is a newly-formed non-profit organization that is working to convince local politicians to build a soccer-specific stadium. SSV is holding a noon rally on Friday, August 20 at Cesar Chavez Park in San Jose. The purpose is to publicly demonstrate fan support for a stadium to both the community and the MLS. We need to get at least 2000 rowdy fans out there, so every soccer team in this area needs to send at least one family. It will be fun, with free hotdogs for the first 1,000 supporters. Alexi Lalas and Johnny Moore will be there along with Earthquakes players.

The Tech Museum of Innovation is one side of the plaza, and the San Jose Fairmont Hotel is on the opposite side.

Wear Earthquakes blue/gear, bring banners and signs.

Plan on paying for parking.
