After years of hassle with AOL, I've migrated my soccer-related e-mail
to this new account. Please use this address for all MVLA field issues
and other soccer-related communications.

At the May MVLA Club meeting I collected Fall 2004 practice field
requests from those in attendance. It is likely that I will be unable
to attend the June meeting, so I want to collect requests from all
other teams via e-mail.

We have not received confirmation of field availability from the cities
of Los Altos and Mountain View, or the Los Altos School District, but
we expect to have access to the following fields: Hillview, Grant,
Covington, Egan, Bullis, Eagle Park, Monte Loma, and Huff. Crittenden
and McKelvey may be available on a shared basis with Pop Warner
Football, and we may have some use of Stevenson and Rosita if AYSO
doesn’t need all time slots. Do not request Crittenden, McKelvey,
Stevenson or Rosita at this time.

In making your requests, please consider the following:

- Each team will be provided field space for two, 90-minute practices
each week through the end of its fall league season (at 4:00-5:30 PM or
5:30-7:00 PM)
- Huff, Monte Loma and Bullis will be used by younger teams whenever
possible
- We will have some access to weekend practice fields
- Winter practice times for State and Association Cup teams will be set
later in the fall

To eliminate conflicts I will take into consideration multiple team
practices run by the same coach or trainer and the team age, with U14
and older teams generally being assigned to the 5:30-7:00 PM time slot
because they will finish their season in mid-November. As in the past,
schedules will be adjusted following the end of DST (October 31).

Please send me an e-mail with the following information:

- Team name, age/sex, class
- Coach/manager name/contact
- Preferred practice days and times (first and second choices) (e.g.,
Mon/Wed, Tues/Thur)
- First, second, and third choices of practice field
- Date when you want to begin practices (note that Los Altos school
open Aug 23)
- Any special circumstances

Thanks for your response. I hope to have the assignments completed by
