Registrars have been instructed to be rigorous before accepting teams
without coaches who haven't made progress toward achieving the
required licenses soooooo coaches need to plan ahead.
Prominently featured on the District 2 coaching site
http://www.cysadistrict2.org/coachcl.htm are the requirements:
* All Class I and Class III Head Coaches shall obtain a CYSA E/D
license.
* All Class I and Class III Assistant Coaches shall obtain a CYSA F
license
Plus links to upcoming classes. At the moment the course pickings
are slim but if you earned your F License last year then here's a
class which hasn't yet gotten posted on the Web that your off-season
schedule might be able to accommodate:
E License, sponsored by the Belmont United Soccer Club,
will be conducted on February 28, March 1, and March 2 at the Barrett
Community Center in Belmont. There is a $10 fee to cover the cost of
the classroom and snacks, but the course is otherwise free to
District 2 coaches. For more information, contact Monica Linnell,
