MVLA soccer uniforms going to Kenya Africa- A letter from Emilee shi   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1414 of 2189 |
HI coaches and managers, well I already got a response from Emilee Shim, my
friend who is working at an orphanage in Kenya. She would LOVE our clubs
donated uniforms.
I know that I already sent you all an email a couple of days ago, but I
thought that I would send you this email so that it can become more
personal.
It would be wonderful if you would forward this email to all your team
families so that it might encourage them to sift through their closets a
little sooner so that I can get this to her friend Jonathan by Dec 30th
My address is 1764 Plaza Court, Mountain View Ca 94040. We live near St.
Francis High school and we are very close to the Miramonte and Cuesta Drive
intersection.
You can drop them off on our doorstep at any time.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION! I they are really stained
I would rather you keep them. I want these children to have nice uniforms!
My phone number is 650-967-2778.
Thanks, dianna

Hi Dianna!

Thanks so much for organizing the uniforms! I've started coaching
the girls at the orphanage and they already have a boys team. They
would LOVE uniforms! We had a BIG soccer tournament with the kids
this past Saturday. They were all divided into teams and each team
played a round robin against kids their age. We were out there all
day and there were six champion teams. It was a lot of fun and the
whole orphanage was out at the fields. The older boys made the goals
for the games out of branches they chopped down from the trees, they
lined the field with saw dust and cut the grass with machetes. IT
was amazing to witness the project and their ingenuity.

The best option would be to get them to an apartment in Palo Alto
(2320 Williams St) by December 30th. Jonathan is going to pick up
our Christmas journals for the kids at that apartment and so
hopefully he can pick up the uniforms as well. He will be flying
back to Kenya on Jan 2nd. Keep me updated on the uniforms.
