We will be discussing the following scholarship program at
Wednesday's board meeting. We need some team data prior to the
discussion though: please let me know prior to the meeting how many
kids your team carries and how much money your team provides for kids
today. Comments on the proposed program are appreciated as well.

New PIM scholarship draft

Problems to solve:
A. Provide $s to kids that otherwise can't play MVLA soccer

B. Prevent a limited number of kids from taking all the $s

C. Keep club fees and therefore player taxes as low as possible

D. Insure the team receiving direct benefit of player
contributes prior to other people.

Proposed new scholarship program:

A. Team funds 1 kid (can propose 2)

B. If team has additional scholarship kids, club matches team $
for $ up to cap of $1,000

B. Scholarship total cap for club voted once per year

C. Team must prove 1 kid funded and $ for $

a. Income statement past and future 12 months

b. Balance sheet current and projected in 12 months

D. Scholarship deadline on August 1, August board vote

E. Needs based CA poverty x 3

F. Club suggests child get ref license to help pay

G. Life time cap $4,000/child

H. Fundraising committee: Rodney to setup.

a. fundraiser in March or April so board knows scholarship
budget.
